I am confused with paypal and wanted to ask whats going on since March 1.

    1. Has anybody not withdrawn the balance after 7 day lapse?
    2. Are you able to pay from your paypal balance without any issues.

From what i have seen, nothing has changed as of now. I have a slight feeling that the new rules only for business account but i may be wrong. Please post what happened with you and whether you hold a premier or busienss account.

Paypal is in a mess. Neither it has implemented the rules yet nor it is making the current situation clear to the account holders. Payoneer on the other hand has been very very helpful.

I have a personal account with paypal. And i have bought stuffs via paypal and there was no problem with me. And no money was withdrawn to my bank account yet.
I don't know about business account holders.
If this process activates then indians will have a hard time dealing online!
    There are two ways:
1.Get a credit card linked to your Paypal. An india debit card of any bank will NEVER work! unless it's co-branded.
2.Leave Paypal and go on with other payment modes.

If paypal is clever then it would find a way through this problem!

Still they haven't implemented any new rule on indian PP accounts so we need to just wait and watch for their next move.

    DON.

In some of the other posts, i see that Paypal are trying to change the options for Indians, they are updating their website code.

Its a shame that nor Paypal or RBI are doing anything to solve this issue.

I was dreaming that Paypal was in negotiation with RBI and the rules will not be implemented.

So far so good, because i haven't noticed any changes recently
I have just paid for hosting a few days back and the transaction went smoothly
I have still got some amount in my paypal account which i don't think i am going to withdraw because i don't have a credit card linked and it would help me paying someone as and if required
I have heard some rumors as well that they are in talks with R.B.I and the final decision is yet to come

Yes, final decision not taken yet. Because paypal know it will loose millions of customers from india, and RBI like to suck some of our money and don't want people to sit and enjoy their living online, and nothing goes via RBI.
This will be horrible if rules applied!

Somebody told me that we are able to send and receive payments because we are sending it for services and not goods, can anyone confirm this? has anyone tried to purchase any product online which got a tracking no. (after 1st march) using his paypal balance?

I haven't tried to buy any tangible goods however, i have paid for my hosting fees (intangible) through PayPal somewhere in the march and it went smooth
Also, purchased a domain which worked but again, both are intangible goods
