100% Vector so no problem with scaling. Limited colors for retro effect. Everything is still changeable.
    Thanks!

Fully scalable, ready for both screen and print.

Contest holder I'd like to point out that you need a vector logo if you plan on putting your winning design on the sides of trucks.
That also means that all the flashy-cliche effects will look totally flat on print.

Here's what my concept could realistically look on a truck:

    And here's a more elliptical version: http://i.cubeupload.com/qvaFd7.png

I am sorry, perhaps I should have been more clear. I can place concept image on any color background myself. I thought perhaps you might make adjustments to the color scheme once you visualized it on a white background.

To me, there is too much black. I am thinking... replace the black in the center with blue. Font becomes white (with shadowing and/or stroke), perhaps we omit the tan color - with the exception of the trowel handle. Concrete... perhaps a shade of gray?
And, "All Phase" needs to be two words. Can you please try this?

    Hi Chris.B,
I think I would have stopped the sun rays at the horizontal break point. I see that you are attempting to mimic mortar lines in flagstone, perhaps, but it sort of reminds me of lightning.
    Thanks for the attempt!

Not bad. Don't feel that you are stuck using the blue and tan. For example: maybe experiment with turning the font to white (with stroke/shadow) and bricks become a brick-red color. Lets see what happens....
    Thanks!

    Hello Falloutvic,
Good attempt. Not sure I am crazy about the heavy stroke around the "since 1990" - maybe a thinner line there? I like the use of the "H" block ;-)
    Thanks for the entry.

    Hi Sinuville,
I really like this - especially the first (non-elliptical). I sure would like to see it trying different color comobos (e.g., All Phase with the tan color and a bit less outer-glow/drop shadow so background can be view better between inner areas of font). Or... trowel handle tanish color as well as "concrete" with "All Phase" remaining blue. Or... any ideas you may have with other colors to make it rock!
Thanks for the heads-up regarding the vector. The largest the client would need is to go on the door of his trucks.

I will be looking-forward to any revisions you may have.

    Thanks

Good attempt, but I don't care for the color/combo. No worries though. I realize that could be dealt with later.

As I indicated to another contestant: please feel free to expand upon my original idea - just try to incorporate the blue somewhere in the scheme - the tan color is not as critical and could be substituted with another color as you see fit to make the palate correct. Thanks!
