Difference between Illustrator,Fireworks,photoshop,Dream Weaver and other adobe apps in case of web designing? I just want to know which one i should know.I know photoshop but also what the others are for.
Illustrator - is for vector graphics, maps, logos, line drawings, stuff that may need to be scaled Photoshop - is for pretty bitmap pictures, photos, painting, web stuff Dreamweaver - is for writing code (or for using the WYSIWYG interface to "make" horrible code) I've never really understood why Fireworks exists. It depends on what you want to do. There's no need to learn how to drive a steam roller if you're operating a row boat.
can you just answer one more question?Which software is used to make stuff like this: when i move my cursor over a button a dropdown menu comes down or the button changes color
You can make it with adobe flash with the help of action scripting. But i'd recommend to make it with jquery as it will be seo friendly and will load faster than flash, and also if you make drop down navigation with flash it will not be supported by mobiles and Also for some people who use older version of flash player in their pc's.
