i have a Axis Easy Gold credit Card .its a new one and just got it a few days back.I am adding it first time in my paypal account but while adding it into my paypal account i am getting following message "This credit card has been refused by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was refused, please contact your credit card issuer's Customer Service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card" so please anyone can help me what it the exact reason for this message . thanks
Is the card real credit card Visa/Mastercard? Try to register the card for 3d secure and then try to add the card. It may work.
it is because of RBI rules in india for paypal as i think there is no use of using paypal now after, as you cannot get more than 500$ into ur paypal at anytime, and you need to transfer the same amount to your indian bank acc within in 1 week else its screwed and you also cannot use the same money to buy anything online.
still we don't have any batter alternative for paypal and still millions of people are using it in india
On PayPal's Confirm your debit or credit card page i can't seem to find any drop-down option for Axis Easy Gold credit Card The only available drop-down options are: Visa, master card, American express Its quite possible that they don't except this credit card? Any ways, i would suggest you to drop an email to PayPal support regarding this issue Because, no one would have better information then PayPal support
see this page: https://secure.axisbank.com/ACSWeb/EnrollWeb/AxisBank/main/index.jsp As far as i know it is a must for credit cards issued in India as per RBI to register 3d secure or verified by visa before using it online transactions (you have to create password). i had this problem with hdfc gold mastercard (credit card) and once i registered it was accepted by payapl.
thanks you all guys .actually card was not activated and not registered with VBV thats why this problem was occurring.Just successfully added my card into paypal account after doing these 2 steps .
more question - would paypal ask for VBV password while doing payment ? and if i pay to an international vendor by credit card not with paypal then can i still make the payment ?
if pp asks, then enter it. if you use your credit card with PCI complaint gateway used by international merchants, you wont be needing to enter vbv, but the charge will go through.
