I have to notice that it is very great for a site to be pr5 and over.. but even more important is that the subpages have a high pr! because this is what really matters

Yep, This is how I really go by when I submit to directories. If you directory has PR7 but where I am submitting my link has a PR0 I wont even bother.
I totally agree. It blows me away when I see a directory charging $20 - $25 for a listing and when I look at the page my site would be on it is not even cached. Either that, or the cache date is six months old or more. These days, I find that about 1 in every 3 directories I look into are very poorly crawled. I am not talking about new directories. I am referencing older established PR5 or higher dirs. /tom/

I agree. Most seem to topout at a PR5. I'd like to see what Derek's site eventually rank in, because I know he's constantly adding good URLs and working on his dirs.
