My websites are just the opposite..........most of my conversions come from traffic sources other than Google. Strange as it sounds, I'm actually thankful for this. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Google per se, but I think their company is way too big and has too much power. I use Google Webmaster tools, Google Analytics, Gmail, and Google Chrome, but for one company to have this much power on the Internet makes me uncomfortable.

My traffic is where I draw the line. Right now, the majority of my income comes from online sales, and I CANNOT allow one company to control my flow of my traffic, because if for some reason they decide to target and penalize my site they can wipe me out. When it comes to traffic, I believe in DIVERSIFICATION. You don't want to rely on Google, it is better to get 5,000 visitors from 10 sources rather than one. Many Webmasters relied heavily on article directories for traffic, and now that Google has penalized these directories, these webmasters are suffering.

My long term goal is to diversify my cash flow itself, take the money I'm earning online and use it to buy businesses offline for additional cash flow. I don't even want to rely too much on the Internet itself as an income source because of continued government meddling and increasing regulation. I just want to see the Internet remain open and free for businesses to operate and I'm opposed to increase government regulation AND companies like Google owning too much of the pie.

Those sites in my sig are old and I rarely update them, I have built brand new sites and these sites have lots of content and I don't rely too much on Google. You can believe what you want, if your site gets hit by Google you will be here on Digital Point whining and crying like this guy.......
