Hi, can anyone tell me how much credence I can put on searches with Bing. Market Samurai has just shown me that for keywords PS3 and PS3 Games (UK search) I am showing #8 and #3 respectively, for my site PS3 Games - Video Gaming Resources. This seems amazing bearing in mind the short period of time that the site has been live. An exact search shows 201,000 local UK searches a month for PS3 and 40500 for PS3 Games. I am aware that the share of clicks is reduced considerably if you are not number one and that Bing apparantly has a 27% share of all searches. (Microsoft’s Bing wrests search share from Google | VentureBeat) Bearing these facts in mind, if I was to get a conservative 5% share, I would have expected to get about 100 clicks a day from Bing related searches, but I am getting none. The question is why?
I've never found Market Samurai data to be accurate (they wouldn't show my sites, and actual rankings (when searching from different locations across Australia) were different to what MS showed). Anyway... Keep in mind that Bing only holds about 3%-4% market share in the UK (depending on the sources). While the 27%-30% is a combined Bing & Yahoo figure in the US. This is probably the main reason why you are not getting any clicks.
Bing, by itself, has only 10% market share. That 27% number is, perhaps, combined with Yahoo which uses Bing's search engine. But this shows far smaller numbers. Combined it's less than 10%.
Now i think bing also improved its algorithm. Results are good. Wikipedia always comes in their search results.
Bing is now doing a good job. No doubt its moving towards more and more popularity and people are trying it more for searching purpose. I myself tried it alot and thus believed that this is something really good..
Of course, that's not true and flies in the face of all reports by the companies that measure such things, but Microsoft told you what to think so ...
You can put your full credence on Bing. Now they are performing good. Even sometime they compete to google!
We are so into Google Search Engine that we neglected Bing and Yahoo! Little do we know that there are also latest updated features to the two Search Engine.

I am facing the same problem. In fact, the irony is that some of my keywords are ranking #1 and majority of them are in toop 10 but they are still not generating great traffic.
