    Hi there,

I recently have 2 payments made via the same user marked as "Inquiry by PayPal". Now the amount is only small ($45 USD) but im not too worried about that, I plan on not paying the money back if I have too (seeing as everything was done legally and I have no idea what PayPal is doing) but I have a fairly high item refund from eBay coming soon and im wondering if the seller who refunds me, hits the refund link on the PayPal payment will they take the $45 USD from that money or will it immediately just return to my bank account which I originally paid from.

Also I don't believe PayPal can remove the funds from my linked bank account can they? Not legally anyway right?

    Cheers.

As far as I know, PayPal can take money from the bank account linked. It takes atleast a month to get the disputes solve at PayPal. They really do not reply soon and take a long time. It is not worth spending hours on resolving the minor issue for the sake of 45 USD.

Hey, thanks for the reply. As I said im not worried about the $45, but I have a fairly high item refund coming through to my account soon and I don't want them to take any money from it (cause it puts me off more than return postage costs did) and I don't want to have to wait like 180 days to withdraw my own money. Those are my biggest concerns.

Well, in this case, you may close the dispute for 45 USD from your end then PayPal won't limit your account for 180 days.

So either way the only way is to pay these greedy bastards $45 and then they will piss off?
