Hey,i really thought this is a good market.Anyone knows about this?Is there any scope of good business in this field?does anyone here have a shop similar to this online?
Are you going to be making them yourself or are you thinking about selling other ppl shirts? And are you talking about standard shirts or with pictures and text ppl upload themself If t's the latter take a look at cafepress.com , spreadshirt.com etc You will have a lot of competition as it's a widley know site and with a lot of affiliates that are trying to get sales. Selling shirts online is a good business tho but you need to have an edge (as with most business) I have a company were we do this kind of things (mostly mugs and mouspads tho) if you are thinking about making the shirts yourself pm as I can give you some advice on this. Regards, Edwin
Hi! Well, there are scores of sites doing this stuff. So, unless, you do not have something unique, like theme based or handmade stuff, or may be a virtual shop for selling t-shirts/handicraft articles made by under-privileged people, or people who are physically challenged (it should be more of Non profit venture for you)..then you might attract customers.
yes, cafepress.com is any easy way to sell many things shirts, hats, coffee mugs, etc But unless you really have something to market on your own site dont bother.
With Cafepress, all you need to do is to design what you want printed on the t-shirts and other stuffs they have and you just set the price you want to sell the items (above their base cost) and they will take care of the rest as far as manufacturing and so on. Cafepress does ad-hoc printing so they basically make as and when there is an order. If you know you can sell a huge amount, it might be better to find a local shop which can print in bulk as it would be a lot cheaper than Cafepress but you probably have to at least get a couple of hundred t-shirts for that.
cafepress is doing this in very creative way. you have to work a lot if you want to enter the industry.
You could go the Cafepress route as people here said, but it can be expensive to shoppers that way. You can go it on your own, with printing, stocking, shipping, and running a store (I have a client doing it this way really well with www.NerdyShirts.com - sorry, had to plug them b/c I really love their stuff). Or you can use a kind of hybrid solution. I've heard good things from bands who use www.printmojo.com. They manage your store and stock and shipping for you like Cafepress does, but you pre-order the amounts to be created and stocked. That's why they can offer a better quality, like screenprinting, embroidery, etc.
