    My impression of Cho Yung Tea is that it's a huge gimmick. Anything sold as a "slimming" tea, I try to stay away from at all costs.

    There's a bit of evidence that tea may promote weight loss, but in general, herbal and medicinal teas that actually cause you to lose weight do so by somehow harming you. A lot of them include laxatives or other herbs that disrupt your digestive system.

    Just about any tea or herbal tea has anti-bacterial properties. There's been a ton of work on this sorts of stuff.

    Spearmint was even found to kill MSRA. My personal opinion is that it's worth it to go for taste...and I think there are better green teas out there than lipton. I like both Chinese and Japanese. Now, after the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear accident, I think it's good to support Japan by buying their teas. An overwhelming majority of Japanese tea is grown far south of the nuclear zone, and Japan has been very careful about banning food from that area so I am convinced there is no risk of any radiation contamination of tea.
