Noob Q : Buying a Site with Adsense

    Hi all,

I'm a noob at this so please, bear with me. :)
I'm interested in a site for sale in the BST forum and the site already has Adsense ads on it.
The question is, if I were to buy that site and if I don't have an account with Google Adsense, do I need to first apply for an account with them?

    Thanks!

I do have a google account (or rather, a gmail account, that counts right?).
Will that work? Don't I need an Adsense account?
I am in the midst of building my own mini website and I've tried applying for adsense, but silly me, it was rejected due to insufficient content. :p

So if I do buy the site, and if I don't have an account with Google Adsense (for now), how will Google trace the earnings back to me? I'm a little confused.

Also, anyone know of any useful site/tutorials for me to learn more about buy-sell sites?

    Thanks Don. :)

If I buy that website and THEN apply for the account, will that work?
Also, the site is an autoblog (I liked it because it looked decent), will Google hate it?
Or MUST the contents of the website be unique for a new appplication?

    Many thanks.

With the recent Google Algo changes affecting millions of sites, even ezinearticles.com, think twice.
Google Adsense is not automatically enabled if you have gmail account. You do need to apply for it deliberately.
I've heard (and read) from forums, that Google rejects some applications if the site being applied for is of low-quality.
I'm suspecting that 'real people' and not mere robots will review your site before being approved as an Adsense publisher.

You can build your site first, then apply for Adsense later. This is the best setup. After all, Adsense is about grabbing huge
quantity of traffic and how will you do that if your website is full of crap.

I understand the need for the content to be unique (and that content is king).
I'm not too worried about my site since I am writing all the contents (it's a travel niche) myself. (I'll only worry if Google reject my application again. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed.)
It was just very silly of me to go and apply for an Adsense account with an unfinished website. :D

I thought I'd go and buy a read-made mini site to help me learn about how things work.
I just wondered about the Adsense part, that's all. :)

So many things to learn but I'm loving it! :)

yes, you do need an adsense account first if you plan to use it as an adsense site.
But i would not buy the site if it were Auto generated site.

You need an adsenseaccount but you wll also need t re-install the adsense on that site so that the revenue goes to you and not elsewhere. Though his is straightforward enough

Well why would you NOT want to have have an adsense account if you want to buy the site to run adsense? what other purpose is there to buy it then?
