Finally, enthralling debate has resumed - the past few days have been such a bore : )

I hope lesbians becomes a 3d porn category, that's the only porn theme I have reserved several domains in:

3dLick.com ------> I just like the name, though not sure it's worth a damn as it has no searches.
Lesbian3d.net ------> Only thing wrong with this one is that it's a .net
Lesbian-3d.com ------> Not sure if the hyphen kills it? only extension taken, though 3d-lesbian are taken in .com and .net.
Lez3d.com ------> Not searched (yet?), though "Lez" gets 110k exacts a month.
Lesbo3d.com ------> " " "Lesbo" 90,500 "

only other ones
3dSoloGirl.com ------> googling sologirl, there are a lot of domains with that word in it. I imagine someone will want this domain once 3d porn gets big.
These two don't have to be xxx, though porn is an obvious use: Russian3d and Latin3d.
Finally, 3dhentai.eu ------>3d hentai is an absolute monster with 74k monthly exacts...but of course it an eu.

If you guys think any of these are on par with 3delevator and 3dbald just tell me, I can take it : P (no offense)
To all who think 3dcreampie is sh*t...I'm not crazy about it either. Simply because I am not interested in viewing another man's oozing seed...let alone in 3d! But I think y'all may be underestimating what nasty bastards people are : )

@adibranch, thanks for the reply - no windup intended! Mainly interested to learn whatever I can for my business sites, not sure if I will ever be able to put enough time into my 3d domains. I am genuinely interested in what you have to say, as it is simply very different from the info I am largely relying on, and I know little enough to be openminded.

@hotelsex nice .es. I have a few .es domains, but i am not optimistic, as I have heard they are extremely difficult to sell, from someone I know who actually lives in Spain and speaks Spanish fluently... apparently transferring them is a real hassle too. None the less I have a few, including 3dhd and hd3d. also
a-r.es (for augmented reality). Loosely related to my business interests I have cranberries.es, which gets decent searches in Spain. Finally I have my last name .es, which is cool as i got it for my brother who is doing his masters in Barcelona, and my last name was gone for basically every other extension on the planet (only 4 letters, and a first name as well). Some say the .es will take off eventually, though the economy there (50% unemployed youth) does not bode well.
I have no .in domains, though I imagine it has huge potential. I was very tempted to take design3d.in, which is still available, should anyone want to grab it.

Also, just grabbed the dropped domain 3dreadytv.info...potential??
Peace out!

Scary Stuff
Printing body parts- 3d bio printing

THE great hope of transplant surgeons is that they will, one day, be able to order replacement body parts on demand. At the moment, a patient may wait months, sometimes years, for an organ from a suitable donor. During that time his condition may worsen. He may even die. The ability to make organs as they are needed would not only relieve suffering but also save lives. And that possibility may be closer with the arrival of the first commercial 3D bio-printer for manufacturing human tissue and organs.

The new machine, which costs around $200,000, has been developed by Organovo, a company in San Diego that specialises in regenerative medicine, and Invetech, an engineering and automation firm in Melbourne, Australia. One of Organovo’s founders, Gabor Forgacs of the University of Missouri, developed the prototype on which the new 3D bio-printer is based. The first production models will soon be delivered to research groups which, like Dr Forgacs’s, are studying ways to produce tissue and organs for repair and replacement. At present much of this work is done by hand or by adapting existing instruments and devices.

To start with, only simple tissues, such as skin, muscle and short stretches of blood vessels, will be made, says Keith Murphy, Organovo’s chief executive, and these will be for research purposes. Mr Murphy says, however, that the company expects that within five years, once clinical trials are complete, the printers will produce blood vessels for use as grafts in bypass surgery. With more research it should be possible to produce bigger, more complex body parts. Because the machines have the ability to make branched tubes, the technology could, for example, be used to create the networks of blood vessels needed to sustain larger printed organs, like kidneys, livers and hearts.

I have a couple of Indian names, I think with their population and technical expertise, these 2 extensions have huge potential

Have a look at the internet penetration India has, imagine when 50% more of the country has access to the internet..WOW

picked up another dropped domain from 2007: ad3d.net. Hoping to sell it to a company offering 3d advertising. "AD" is also Architectural Design. Following extensions are gone:
.it, .nl., .de, .cz, .co.uk, .be, .ru, .pl, .com, .org, .info, .co.in and a few more. Do you guys think it's worthwhile?

I am curious, when it comes to 3d names, do any of you have rules of thumb you would be willing to share? For instance when it comes to using keyword tools: do you only register / buy domains that have a certain amount of searches? Considering that many 3d domains are speculative in nature, referring to technology no one actually has yet, such as auto-stereoscopic 3d .com domain with 1000 exacts a month - and presumably many more searches in the future - how much do you guys rely on GKT stats?
Cheers : )

Hey,

Looks like this thread is too cool. Very interesting to follow my endeavor, to sell premium domains. How do you guys sell? Sedo parking is the only way? Is it all free selling or do they charge?

Can any experienced guy please explain the process?

I see many good 3d domains, should I buy? What to look for in a 3d domain? Thanks a lot.

Seems like I need to prove to you that am damn interested and wish to share the profits too. I bought a 3d domain BUT i did a mistake of not using coupon code. Never mind.

I bought 3dawesome.com - That's sounds very good to me and you?

Well, the search for "3d awesome" at Google shows 59,900,000 searches. Plus, not just searches, these keywords are VERY often used in articles and portfolios.

What's your opinion on this? good domain or a bad domain? - Its my first time doing this, fingers crossed :)

Thanks.

@tattoos - Thanks my friend. Good to hear from you.

After searching a couple hundred of domains overall, quite some were available but with a lot of undesired words. This clicked me right away. I just registered at Sedo.

Anyone interested in buying it or guiding me how to sell it please? I'd love to use it myself if I had the budget for hosting, marketing and basically maintaining it. If you have the resources, it can be a nice brand name. Very easy to remember.

Awesome for 3d updates or sharing awesome 3d anything, I believe.

I dont really see much value in this name, unless you can develop it and market it well. I would prefer Awesome3D.com, the words just seem to be the wrong way around, especially with a word like that, it would be different if it was a product.

All the new guys on here, just some advice, you would be much better off emailing existing owners of decent 3D names and trying to buy off them, rather spend $500 or $1K and get a decent name than search for hand-reg names, all the names worth anything are gone, believe me.
