I wanna start a game niche blog. Do you think it is a worthwhile one to go for considering the niche, the market and the customers and readers

I want you guys to help me on this.

My intention is to make money from Adsense, CPA and finally park the domain. What do you guys suggest?

Game niche blogs are definitely effective with CPA offers. If your targeting is on point and you're driving quality traffic to your blog, then game email submits convert like crazy.
I know that because just recently I've been able to make $40k+ in a month on COD Black Ops email submits just before it got in stores. Pretty crazy but true.

Well, game niche sites and blogs usually revolve around the idea of submitting the latest news as soon as possible- that is what basically 99% of gaming blogs are. to be honest, i think it would be difficult to get established since there are already 100s of blogs that are well-established and have connections in the gaming industry, so try to at least, provide your opinion of things, or try to narrow down your focus to a certain console/category of gaming if you hope to attract loyal visitors. Basically, build a blog that offers what other gaming blogs/ sites fail to do, and hopefully, you will be successful. btw, I also own a gaming blog.

Well as a matter of fact, i am going into game development niche. In other words how to make games. I checked up the keyword listings, i was amazed cos the adwords price are big making adsense earnings possible at as much as $10 per click. Based on this what are your suggestions?

I also think there is way too many blogs about gaming out there already as well. It might work if you have tons of friends, forum members and networks already on this niche.

I could build keyword pages to generate traffic, create backlinks and use forum signatures. Apart from that, many articles will go into article directories. Its kinda scary cos i want to earn a living doing this.

If you're really determined in making a gaming website then I'd highly suggest that you should focus more on gaming previews and reviews. These points have been, if not the most highly searched terms in the gaming industry.

Apart from that, you should also choose in either; 1. Focus on one console or 2. Cover up every game possible from iPhone, PSP to Xbox 360.

This however doesn't come with a challenge since you'll be facing big time websites such as Gamespot, IGN, 1UP, etc... If you're really that determined then you wouldn't really be bothered much in taking these gaming mammoths head on.

Why not focus on games that are having a harder time getting their message out because they are not back by large developers? You can even ask some of them to provide free incentives (e.g. free trials/discounted purchases, free in game items) to your readers. You get stuff to boost traffic, and then get a medium to use for publicity.

    1) Who would you audience be for "how to make games".
    2) Is that likely large enough for you to generate sufficient ad money? (no exact formula, but if you can't even survive with 1% of 1% of the entire market generating 1 dollar a month for you. forget it. For example, lets say in there are 100,000 people that would be interested in reading a blog on "how to make games". On your website, if you are a marketing genius with no budget, there would be 1000 people (1%). And of these, only 10 would be generating you 12$ a year ($1 a month) (1%). In my case, forget it, you are not making even close to enough). Of course, this is very rough. You should also look at other competing websites and if they seem all dead, be careful of expecting different results.

If the answer is yes to both question.

@ Avesel.... You could check out the search term on that. This my reason for saying it is possible. Not everyone is in that niche but money opportunity is huge in it as adwords bidding on it is as large as $15 per click. Think about man.

@forgotten creature. Are you asking me to remove my ads on my blog? I'm not running a game site but a review blog kind off. So what are you talking about.
