Don't bother with MS security essentials, Download Avast Free AV, it's the best free AV out, and one i recommended to customers for years, None every had a complaint!

You have to buy NOD32 if you want to use it.

+1 for Avast. I'm an AVG convert and have put Avast on all my PCs.

Microsoft Security Essentials is remarkably powerful and light.
Pair it with Malwarebytes and you got a perfect duo.

If you want a paid version, go for ESET NOD 32; avast or AVG will be the next best alternative in case of free version.

Well when it comes to your av i think it depends
For slow computers: Malwarbytes and MSE
    For mid range: Avast
For fast computer that can handle it i use Kaspersky

I used to use AVG and sell it but after a while it seem to have lost some of its touch so I stopped using it.
