Hi guys, i have a question about keyword research.I have traffic travis installed on my computer and i found some great keywords, traffic travis tells me its "Relatively Easy" but when i look at top 10 competition i only see high pr and alot of backlinks. The only thing they dont have is domain name same as keyword, no h1,no description and no title with keyword. I know to rank high in google you need to check your top 10 competitors. please check the attachment View attachment 49486 Is this a great keyword and can i achieve google top 10 easy? Any advice? thanks
Submit your site in DMOZ. This will help you. But you also have to gain backlinks and in the anchor text should be the keyword you want to promote you site.
yes i understand.so its possible to rank in top 5 if i built backlinks and submit to dmoz and onpage optimization etc. It will be easier then other keywords right? How much could i sell such keyword? I have keywords that have around 5-12k searches a month with cpc of 30 dollar and above and i have keywords that have millions of searches and cpc around $1 or more.
I don't quite understand your keyword research image, but I wouldn't panic if I were you. It's not because it is a high PR website with tons of links that he is unbeatable. What if his links inbound links are not relevant to what he promotes. Don't get discouraged, work hard on optimizing your keywords both on-page and off-page.
I would trust your own investigation of the top 10-20 sites, ie looking at the site to see if it is very relevant, high number of backlinks, lots of relevant content, etc. over the keyword tool just giving you a result like 'easy' etc. Take a good look at what they are and the amount / quality of sites linking to them and you will have some idea of what you need to do to beat them.
well the problem with keyword research is off course the time it consumes to find backlinks, keyword in title etc. This software is really accurate.I can even find where the backlinks are.why would i do this manually if everything is automated? I am allready starting sites while working with Traffic travis. thanks guys for the tips
it will take sometime.. you wil need to get some really good backlinks... and optimise landing pages for just that very specific keyword...
What would be the proper way to do keyword research. I am also a newbie in SEO and as of now I have only limited knowledge in keyword research. Can anyone here guide us on how to do proper keyword research please.
Market Samurai makes a great tool for evaluating keywords. You can get a free trial. The sheer number of backlinks your competitors have make this keyword something I would not go after.
