Hosthop.com awful customer service!

    Alright guys,

    I took the "Windows Hyper-V Starter (Hyper I)" plan at $28/ month using the coupon code "SAVE20FORLIFEDP" and when i first started with the host (about 1 week) the hosting was going okay and all, I have some serious problems on my other computer which is preventing me from using the VPS as all my server and website files are on that computer, so i kindly asked Hosthop if it would be possible for them to "pause" my account until my computer is resolved, They could have kindly said no, It's not possible, We can't do that sorry, but here is the response i got from them, and this is about the fourth response i have gotten like this from Hosthop

    I am having problems with my main computer which is used to connect to my VPS and i have all my server files and website files on that computer, I can't boot past the windows logo and i get a blue screen error, no windows CD.
    
    Can you pause my account until i get the issues resolved? I am hoping that it should take no more then 1 or 2 days to get it resolved, but i will be unable to use the VPS for those days and would appreciate it if you can turn off the VPS and pause the account until i message you, so that i don't lose days that i paid for when I'm not using the VPS

    Seriously, have you lost your mind? We do not turn off and on accounts and not bill when not in use. 1 MORE ticket like this bothering us your terminated!

    You are self-managed account for the last time. You pay your bill and it is not as used.

    I have been nice, but this is just to much, you must think we are complete moron or you just don't give a shit! We have better things to do than answer your emails about this kinda stuff.

    To be honest your post means nothing, have you seen your feedback people leave about you, 12% negative how you are an annoying little fool!
    
    Please post all you can I will just post link to your personal feedback and the viral comment try creating somthing viral that actually creates you some money so you can afford the $1 of downtime that you asked a credit for, u post in craigslist for living (And From your Feedback you are not even good at it). And we know your server admin skills are not your strength you should try something more your speed like window washinig.
    
    Have a nice day. And yes you are terminated for life. Your comments calling us "faggots" is similiar to a 3-year old. But I new that when this started. There are many host that will hold your hand for you and show you what to do, but we are self-managed (You do not undesrstand the defination). You belong with fully managed hosting company I am sure you will be client of the year.

    I will let you decide whether or not you want to host with Host hop, but after my experience hosting with them and there threats, I would recommend that you stay far away from this host, I kindly ask for help, and i get awful replies with threats!

    I know that it may have been stupid on my part to ask for them to pause my hosting account and everything, and i may ask stupid questions at time, but i am nice when i ask and i do not reply with threats and everything..

    Let's just say you will be hopping from host-to-host after hosting with Host Hop. :eek:

    You should have just send the refund with out adding "PAIN IN THE @$$" in the payment notes if you didn't want that e-mail, idiot.

    You think it changes anything that you are a female? Everyone can see the kind of support you give and your bad attitude.

    I don't need to cover myself at all after what you put me through, You even hacked onto my website hosted on Vertexwebnetworks.com and deleted all my files, I know it was you because you had my information to log in and once you got pissed off and deleted my VPS account, magically my website was also gone.

    You are a very awful business that has a very bad attitude, and i have no respect for you after how you spoke with me, That is why i am speaking like this so if you have a problem, go and **** yourself.

    By the way your comments are funny. What is that you were saying about your site? Someone deleted it. Probably one of the other people you have pissed off, but I wish I would have. It was a S*IT site anyway.

    More likely the host you had it with, since you do not pay your bill.

    You guys did delete my website, You had my Cpanel information, I pay all of my bills and that has never been a problem you should just learn how to run a business.

    My site was shit? My website wasn't even set up yet and it had the default theme idiot, Your website is garbage though, especially your customer support.

    It's funny how you say i don't pay my bill, I can get Serverdeals.org to vouch for me as i just paid for months in advance, Get your facts straight and stop crying baddie.

    Public spats don't do anyone a favour. From the initial post of the support replies - a very unprofessional thing to say irrrespective of your feelings - it was obvious there was more to this than what the OP was saying. No-one really pays any attention when someone comes on here and rants. They usually just roll their eyes, think it's another kid who believes the world owes them everything for a few bucks, and promptly forgets about it.

    You get bad customers and customers that can be a pain in the rear in all businesses. You just have to deal with it. There's no need to take out personal frustrations on a customer, and when you feel like strangling a customer a public forum is the last place you should be posting. Take a deep breath and be professional.

    For a business to come on here and insult a customer in this way has done you a lot more damage than anything the Op could have said. If you want to counter a dumb post then do so professionaly, just give the facts without emotion and explain what happened. To trade insults makes you both look like idiots. Everyone would have forgotten about the OP and his hissy-fit in 10 minutes, now many many people are going to remember HostHop and be put off using them if thats the way they treat people - even if they are dumb, stupid, and cant walk and chew gum.

    hmm... FYI Hosthop. Your not helping any by feeding this little fire. A professional like yourself shouldn't be worried or shouldn't continue an argument like this, its going nowhere and again. (not trying to be rude) your supposed to be running a business. I understand your trying to keep your Reputation and all,which is fine. but really, you kinda sound like a 14yr swearing and calling a (former) customer stupid because he asked a few "dumb" questions?, personal opinion is all.

    Wow! Completely unprofessional. I think we would all like to tell clients off every now and again, but it's just not the thing to do. If you don't want to host a client, you just terminate them and move on. If the client goes to forums like this and spread lies, by all means defend your company's reputation, but name calling and childish behavior really isn't necessary.

    I will admit you all are right, I have been in hosting business long enough to know this is the kinda stuff that goes on. But I just have to say what you are seeing only have the story this guy did everything he could to disrupt our business and make a mess anywhere he could.

    And going to his level and acting like a 2 year old I will be first one to admit not professional, but sometimes enough is enough. Calling us faggots, racists and none of these things are true. A moderator should have stop such things, but off course nothing. We were trying out this forum, but alls we have found is FRAUD and TROUBLE. So as a advertiser we will not post here anymore. I am the one buying for ads not the little punk that screws everyone he can on the site.

    We have to do what we think based on the situation and we just had enough of the punk. Sometimes customer just push you over the edge and if you are in the hosting business any real period of time you know that to be true. And normally we do just move on, but the lies and nonsense are just not acceptable. And messing with my support ticket system and making it so other customers are affected is not ok with us.

    Your business is really unprofessional and this will stick with you forever, Most people do research on a host before buying there service, and i just really hope they come around to this thread and see how you treat your customers and do business.

    You caused so many problems for me, You had my Cpanel information because there was a mySQL configuration file on the VPS which was connecting to my host and you
    knew that i was hosted with Vertexwebnetworks because i mentioned to you that i had to connect via mySQL .. It's funny how once you terminate my VPS, instantly after my website is gone on my host, You can try and blame it and say your crap that someone else deleted it because i have so many problems with other people but it's all lies and you know you or one of your cheap workers of Hosthop deleted it.

    You really pissed me off and crossed the line, I have my refund, but i lost my website because of your shit and you caused me problems because my computer had my website back up on it and he can't recover the information now, but watch what is going to happen now because of your one mistake, I'm going to trash your shi*** reseller hosting business so watch it slowly fail because this is just the beginning!

    I am posting this as my FORMAL RETRACTION in regards to the statements I made about HostHOP.com. The information provided did not represent the whole & entire truth!

    They are not racist nor did they cheat me out of my money. Actually there services are very good and as a customer I was very happy with the hosting services provided.

    The bottom line is lots of mis-communication took place between us and that lead to this personal attack that was not called for I ask that anyone reading this to know HostHOP.com provides solid services at a great price!
