https://demos.mozilla.org/en-US/ Works in Firefox 4 beta, Chrome and Opera. Will never work in IE9 because IE9 is not a modern browser.
Mozilla made it but it uses normal, standard, currently available methods and technologies. IE9 is the only browser that can't handle it. It works in FF, Chrome, Safari, Opera and just about anything else. If Mozilla wanted to "mess with" things, they'd only make it work in FF. Not the case here.
it says that i need WebGL to see it at its best but still i can see it work with EPIC browser , browser made from source codes of Mozilla Firefox.
Yes. IE9 will not support WebGL among a host of other things. In fact, current versions of FF don't either (defying the earlier question that the page is built just to make IE9 look bad) but the FF4 beta does as do all other browsers (not IE9). FF4 RC will be released any day now.
Well, some web sites may face browser compatibility issues like it may looks good in FireFox where as it may show some scattered content in IE. Its totally depends on how you design the web site. Some developers define browser compatibility in config files of web sites so that it can be shown properly only in specific browsers. Its obvious that web site should be accessible in all browsers but if its not working then needs to make corrective change accordingly
It's obvious you haven't a clue what the point of the site is. The point is to create a site using and demo'ing current technology. It is not a site looking to benefit by gaining viewership as it has no product or service to sell or offer. Compatibility is NOT the issue! The issue is IE9 is incompetent, inept and unable to keep up with the modern world.
You are spot on. The fact that it's a Mozilla page means it holds no credibility at all. IE, Chrome, Safari, Opera could do the same and point out the certain broswer/s won't work as good on some websites. Mozilla should let the users decide what a modern website and a browser is. Not sure why, but they seem increasingly desperate lately.
Your complete lack of knowledge and ability to read and understand is showing through. The site demonstrates current technology and works in ALL browsers; FF, Chrome, Safari and Opera and virtually every other browser. The only one it doesn't work in is IE9 because IE9 is NOT a modern browser and cannot compete or render current, standard, modern technology. When you don't know what you're talking about, you shouldn't make a fool of yourself and respond to such things.
Sorry pal, you were the one who made a fool of yourself, posting that Mozilla link. Like i've said, it holds no credibility (the same would apply to any other broswer doing the same). Had you posted a link to some unbiased, independent, credible site it would have been a different story. Until then, you could do yourself a favour by keeping your fingers away from the keyboard instead of embarrasing yourself.
So you consider using current, standard, modern technology that is advanced by the W3C and works in ALL modern browsers to have no credibility if Mozilla, or ANY other browser vendor, uses it in a demo? Does this mean you think demo'ing CSS3 by Mozilla has no credibility even though it works in ALL modern browsers and is part of the standard?! You think standard HTML5 demos lack credibility because Mozilla wrote the page?! Do you throw all of Microsoft's IE9 demos in the trash cause they wrote them?! You are waayyy beyond foolish and it's obvious such technical matters are far beyond your grasp.
I agree with this. It happens on most browser releases. Someone from IE will soon, do exactly the same.
Another foolish response from the totally clueless and illiterate. I'll say it again, if you don't understand what you are reading, you shouldn't respond, and you don't understand anything you've read. If Mozilla was doing this for their own benefit, why did they make it so it worked in ALL browsers (but IE)? iow, it works equally well in Chrome, Safari, Opera, Flock, Konqueror, Galleon, Epiphany, K-Meleon, etc. etc. All the competitors to Mozilla.
Why do you mess with IE9 just because it's owned by Microsoft? I am using it, and it's better than Firefox. My opinion only.
Since you don't know or understand how computers work, your opinion is worthless and obviously uninformed.
