do u mean u want to open an offshore account??...then yes it is possible but for that u need to follow the guidelines of their banks and if any disputes occurs...they'll settle it in their own jurisdiction and by their own laws...

I think you need a US Social Security Number, so I'm not sure if it would work

Do a search on here. The posts are old, but some of the information can still work. Each bank has its own rules and they change.

With the exception of coming to the United States to help satisfy the You Know Your Customer - see if any of your local banks have partnerships with the US banks. Check with the large banks and the small banks - I worked with one individual a few years ago, he was able to set up a US bank account with the help of a small bank in his country / city.

The easiest way to open a virtual US bank account is to signup for payoneer.com through it's partner website like elance and infolinks.
And if you are paid more than three times from the payoneer partners and contact payoneer then you will be provided with a virtual US bank account.
But the account can only be used to receive money using ACH.

You can open a bank account with a Banco Mercantil or creating an offshore company, but you have to travel at least once a USA.

Citibank and HSBC say that open accounts for non-residents, but you have to contact them personally and in the case of HSBC account NOT used to operate on the Internet

you can setup a LLC without visiting the States, then it's an easy way to open a bank account. easy, but not cheap. opening LLC will cost you something about $500, then $1000 upwards for the bank account
not to mention that you will be required to put at least 2-3k as a security deposit on the account.

You need a social security number, business registration, (obtain FEIN - optional) then you utilize you social security number.
    Government identification, drivers license/passport)

You cannot open a account over the phone.
