yeah but 3 opportunities for pts only leads to 6 for AZ huge + for the Bears in that respect. hey, if they can hold onto the ball in the 2nd half this is far from over!
i'm not a big believer in moral victories in football, but if the cards lose it will be those turnovers where they only scored 6 points.
I hope I got these stats right. In the last quarter of the game, the Bears had 3 possessions, moved the ball 39 yards, had 2 turnovers and scored 14 points anyways. I don't think I've EVER seen a game, where the team won with a turnover ratio of -5. What we can conclude for this game is: If you want to beat the Cards, give them a 14 point lead in the first quarter (2 weeks in a row, they've lost after having such a lead). Win is assured. Starting to run out the clock middle of the 3rd quarter is not a wise tactical move. But we knew that already, didn't we? Still, the cards do not have the worst collapse in MNF history. The Bucs (YAY!) own this record. 2003. Colts/Bucs. Colts were down 28 points (some ungodly number) beginning of the 4th quarter and still won.
Well they just announced that Mike Brown is out for "a significant amount of time" following foot surgery today. God thing the Bears have six wins already....'cause they may not be winning very many more games w/o him.
