Is there anybody following the ICC Champions Trophy currently taking place in India. For the uniniated, the sport in question is cricket:D

Currently the qualifying stages are on, and the progess of Sri Lanka and West Indies is all but guaranteed.:)

The main group stages will start in a few days from now.The Aussies are the favs for this one, and this is the one trophy which has eluded Ricky Ponting's boys:)

Ok Nobody appeared interested in Bangladesh and Zimbabwe playing it looked :)
So I revived this thread now with the group stages on

Group B is a pretty neat group, NZ taking on South Africa today, Stephen Flrming has scored nearly half of the Kiwi runs so far, they are 164/7 at this moment.

The tickets seem to be pretty expensive this time around, are all the north stand tickets 3k ?

If thats the case, it's a bloody well waste of money.

A spineless batting performance by South Africa. I agree that the pitch was difficult to play on, but if one really applied oneself, then scoring wasn't difficult. Their difficulties with spin have been cruelly highlighted once again. :)

For once bowlers are leading. The pitch at Mumbai doesn't seem toi be a very good one, but lets see how the other matches go :)

Great victory for Pakistan after the turmoil their team underwent during the week. Good batting especially by Malik and Razzaq. Sri Lanka had their iopportunities though, they could have made a bigger total--and Razzaq should have been caught on 5

    Throws open Group B ...

The topic is actually quite active in the other thread, which is why this thread isn't seeing much of activity ;)
Aussies take on the Kiwis today, and I think the Aussies can do it and make it to their first ever champions trophy final
