My pointless domain name

Hi everyone.

Have you ever purchased a domain name you thought would be great but now you have no idea what to do with it?

I am having that problem with 'forumtuner' .com, i don't have a clue what i could use it for! It wouldn't be so bad, but I have it registered for 10 years...

Any ideas?

Make it into a forum hosting provider.

 

Maybe advice on ironing out forum issues, bugs etc and sell software updates such as v bulletin, 10 years in advance ouch !!!!

My biggest fail was the domain 'linen-trousers' after a bottle of vodka. I mean - WTF was I thinking?

I have never bought a domain name like that, but I have seen many of them.
The worst thing would be to buy a domain name only to notice that you misspelled it. xD

 

I purchased some ridiculous ones in the past. My latest has been a string of android domains that are a waste.

 

This is very common. Had a couple of it but was not so bullish like you. Only bought for 5 years instead of 10.

Next time just buy 1 year and if you really like it, renew it.

Those are some good ideas! The forum about radios suggestion made me laugh, but it is better than anything I came up with. I have been looking for an excuse to start a forum, just a shame I hate radio

I also strongly agree with apollo23... do not buy a 10 year domain name ever!

 

Another thing that you can do is always park the domain, though I am not sure how much money you might get cause I don't know what traffic you have with it currently. You can also turn it into some kind of blog or auto blog if you can't be bothered with making it into a forum, or you can go to clickbank, find out what products are available via that talk about forum, set up a landing page promote it and get sales. Depends on how much you have time and what you want to do.

Thank you for all the other ideas peeps, they are all great, including the 'forum posting company', but I don't really have any knowledge in that area. Considering just selling it now, or maybe parking it for 10 years lol

It gets about 60 uniques aday which is better than nothing I guess
