Hmm, been wondering this one for a while now: Does every backlink really count? I've been wondering for a while now if every backlink really counted, and helped your site, even if it is on a web page or site with irrelavent content. Answers, advice, and suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
It depends. Whether you're refering to links getting noticed by search engines or generating traffic to your site. If you're talking about including those with "nofollow" attribute values then it does not get valued by search engines, yet if it's still a valid link (not dead link) then it should still generate some value to your site.
Irrelevant links will never count against you, otherwise it would be too easy to hurt your competition. Relevant links are, of course, better. Cryo.
No every backlink will help your link popularity, only those pages similar to your websites or important pages link to you are counted. But I heard no stories that linking to non related pages will harm your ranking. So try to link to anywhere except those adult, illegal sites etc (if your site is not similar to them). Though no help in ranking, maybe will attract visitors.
Rubbish. Do you mean outgoing links? If so, they prob use rel=nofollow. To answer the question, yes - all links count, but at the end of the day it's about the quality, not quantity of backlinks. I guess the two considerations with low PR backlinks is will they direct traffic your way, and will they increase in PR in the future...?
Not necessarily. It is purely to do with the PR of the page that the link is on, and as a general rule, homepages have the highest PR. That is not always the case though...
for unrelated link does it count as number of link? yes does it count for SEPR? no or really low power does a lot of unrelated hurt? yes it does. How? Because of those junk link, the power of related link will be discounted by SE..so at the end it will hurt you
Any link from good websites will help, but to rank well for a term may be few links from related high quality websites will be enough while you may need handreds of low qulaity irrelated websites to rank well for the same term
No, that is not true. You CAN NOT be hurt by incoming links. If that was the case, people could sabotage other sites.
I think that all links 'count', though some a vastly better than others. A link from a new unrelated domain would give a negligible benefit, while one from an on-topic trusted authority site would count for a lot more. Again, that's excluding redirect and nofollow links that have no benefit at all apart from the traffic they bring. It's also not technically correct to say that a link will never hurt you. Google's phrasing is that links will not usually hurt you. Although it would have to be a pretty extreme case as we've seen with some sites getting 'Google Bowled'

Linking to non relevant pages will actually harm your PR thats y reciprocal linking is not as effective as backlinks backlinks = one way links from other sites backlinks for non relevant or banned sites will not harm your PR since u've no control over this ------------------------------------ Latest eBooks
