Or, you could write oringinal content for EACH domain. No duping, no spinning, no rewriting. Try ORIGINAL content.
I don't see it as a value per page issue, although Ezine did lost pagerank it seems, what it looks like is onpage quality affecting visibility of a page in the SERPs. Ezine wasn't deindexed, they just lost about 85 positions. I had a few PR1 ezine articles that are still PR1, but all the junk ones that i knew were junk (and felt abad about) are all booted from my backlink profiles and appear on like page 15 - 20 of a search.
Many pronounce the DEATH of directories years ago i still do dir subs and they help So i guess same here ...
You have to select worthy article submission sites with good reputation. And besides, in order to avoid being penalized make sure that your articles are always fresh and new.
I performed a lot of marketing through article submissions. I've refocused myself to guest blogging as well. But I am not giving up entirely as they aren't bad links, just devalued. Article directory links are still valuable in my opinion.
I think article marketing will remain useful. But we should limit the occurrence of our articles on multiple article submission websites, may be submit an article on 4-5 high pr article submission websites only
Its hard enough as it is to get an article submitted onto ezines, now google slaps them in the face, webmasters don't know where its safe to get links from, its getting stupid, G keeps banging on about natural links but in reality that doesn't work. So how are webmasters meant improve there standing in the search results without fear of penalty?
The sky isn't falling. Google made an algorithm change in an effort to improve the user experience and ezine has responded by tightening up their submission policies...something they should have done a long time ago IMO.
Years ago both directories and article directories took a major major hit, and the article directories did again now but it's still a numbers game. You're just going to need more articles published than you used to. It's not like they got deindexed.
My advice would be to build multiple sites using multiple ways of promoting them and building links. It involves learning. Every time google 'squeezes off' one method, the remaining methods 'gain' in value. It's impossible for google to squeeze off every method of seo at once. And if they did, what would their index look like? On the other hand, when people talk about sure-fire, easy ways to increase links and rankings, ..well that will be the next thing in google's cross-hairs.
Article Submission is considered one of the strong base of Off Page Optimization, as link from such page is considered more relevant backlink. Yes, fresh content and submitting article to fewer directories can fetch you with more benefit.
Their still relevant but they will be looked at in a different way...just keep doing what your doing and keep building those links.. "Black Seo Guy "Signing Off"
I wouldn't say their irrelevant, but they certainly aren't what they used to be. I wouldn't concentrate as much on creating articles as you used to. They're good to do once in a while now days.
Yes and no. Directories with quality control will still be a SEO force. Ezinearticles has already made changes to focus on quality. Any directory without quality control will slide into the search abyss.
Yes I got a mail from the other day from them telling me about a new diamond status, I think they are leaving links do-follow in the resource box though as at first they were comtemplating removing them, which would have killed the site imho
