I just finished a Wordpress Business Directory Plugin that uses CityGrid Places API and allows you to deploy a directory for any city and any business categories. You can also monetize using advertising. You can find in the Wordpress Plugin Directory by searching for CityGrid.
Here's one I'm using. It's quite new so has some small issues but works well out of the box. To give you an idea here's my 'beta' site: http://bizuk.co.uk/
The title points to an internal page which, I am led to understand, is not search engine friendly or am I wrong?
It's semantics, but: - search engine friendly refers to whether the URLs are crawlable and indexable, etc. Algorithms are more sophisticated these days, but the concensus is that mod_rewrite should be employed to rewrite URLs to an easy crawl and navigation format. - SEO friendly refers to whether the OBLs are static and direct. OBLs also shouldn't use nofollow in listings since that detracts from the whole point of recommending a site in the first place. If you look at the apple listing, next to website they have a static, direct OBL. However they use rel=nofollow, this is what makes it not SEO friendly. However, I'm guessing you could change all of these things in the settings.
Sorry which apple listing? Many say that the no follow tag only negates the passing of PR value and/or that no follw links are an important component of a ranking profile?
