PR without Backlinks?

Hi,

I just need to know how people can get good PR without back links. I have seen many PR5 even PR6 sites with not more than 10 back links. Is it possible? If yes then please let me know how? And is it beneficial or not?

Everything is possible, when you realize that link *quality* trumps link quantity very easily. A good link can be worth thousands, millions of crappy spambot links... and there's your proof. Study those 10 links with attention and you should be able to draw some interesting conclusions.

if you need your site to be PR6, 3 or 4 quality PR8 back links enough. lot of back links doesn't mean high PR. Quantity is not the important, but quality.

 

Backlinks from high ranking site would be more beneficial than bad backlinks. So please do more quality backlinks.

 

Something like up to PR3 can be achieved with very little backlinks, just enough original content. But to get PR5 or PR6 you really need quality backlinks. I think it's like Smitten says, some of those links must be really good. A link from an authority site with high PR trumps thousands of links from crappy scraper blogs.

There is something that we called traffic. That comes when quality launched in market.

 

I'm not saying it's the case here, but sometimes PR can be faked by redirecting a high PR domain. You get this a lot in the sites for sale forum on here and flippa etc, where people sell PR 5 (or whatever) websites that appear to have like 5 links from crappy locations. A short time after you buy the site the PR drops to 1 or zero because they've redirected their PR8 domain somewhere else to sell another site to some poor fool.

Ignoring the above however, you can get quite a good page rank from your own internal links if you have hundreds of pages with good quality, unique content. And of course from high quality links as already mentioned by others.

No it's not possible to have a good PR without backlinks.
But it's possible to have a good PR with 10 backlinks but the main condition is '10 relevant & high quality sites link'.
I'm quite sure those sites have unique content with quality backlinks as you need these too to increase your PR.

 

I agree with you... I have seen by myself while buying domains from flippa, they redirect some of the clearly to a PR8, which you can actually check in google. Still the people who are not aware of it or are newbies go for that and end up buying a domain with no PR
Sometimes feel sorry for them as its the hard earned money which is gone just in wrong hands. So be careful and check all the aspects of the domain before buying such domains.

 

Can someone tell me once and for all what is a "quality link"?
I think I understand where websolutions85's question is coming from. It's like the chicken and the egg thing, if you have PR0 it's hard to place your link on high PR website, but you need it in order to get PR.
I would love to hear what a quality link is. Examples will be even better...

 

Good question mate. I agreed with you we cannot put our sites to direct high PR sites. Because it is not beneficial for your site.

 

I think 3 way link building could get you high PR backlinks easily.

 

Also, check for backlinks on yahoo site explorer, not in google. Google only shows a tiny fraction of actual backlinks.
