I'm confused.

I have a site that is only 5 months old with a PR of 0. How am I supposed to get links if other sites won't trade with me since I am so low? Just post on forums and blogs?

 

reciprocal link is not that good afterall, why bother?
forums, blogs, articles directory, web 2.0, press release...

 

So how many press releases should I be doing on a weekly basis? Sorry, I'm kind of new to this stuff.

 

there's no specific limit since different site, niche, market, will need different amount of efforts
maybe the limit is yourself, and your competition
if you are on #1 then you don't need to do it as much as if you are on 5 pages of Google
and don't just do one link building type, instead of pumping more releases, spend some on other link building types

 

u can also contact webmasters with low pr and ask for a LE. Every link helps

 

A good way to start is by posting links to relevant directory sites.

If you have some article content user it on article directories - tweak each submission a little so you avoid posting the same article on ultiple directories.

Nothing beats creating great content on your site and inviting links due to its usefulness / informativeness!

 

You can join article distribution services, you submit articles and they'll distribute it to other websites on their network, there are bunch of them and they usually free for light user.
You can make yourself a bunch of blog on web 2.0 properties like wordpress, blogger, squido etc dropping your links here and there.
You can blog comments, do forum profile or just forum sigs
You can submit article which has your links in the resources box to hundreds of article directories.
You can bookmark your page on many of bookmarking services such as digg, reddit etc every time you make a new page.

Overwhelmed? dont, there is a way to automate all that, however, not all of those is good for automation, some will be better if you take the time to properly do it in an old fashion ways, by hands

No initially you can make reciprocal links. I don't think people will not be interested even if your pr is 0. There are many websites which are fond of reciprocal linking.

 

If you intend to summit articles the best article directory is enzinearticles, goarticles, and articlebase. There are hundreds but those are the most visited. Good luck. It`s not easy for a pr 0 but is posible to make it with the big guys with lots of work.

 

Perfect solution for getting rank good ranking the best way is submission at high PR sites of blog, articles as well directories and press release helps a lot.
