Why Writing Services Has Become So Cheap??

I am owning a writing service company and i am in this field for more than 5 years. Though most of the clients are happy paying high rates for the best quality contents, there are some are still requiring and demanding contents for as low as $2,$3 and so on. This sounds like they are just looking so cheap towards the writers whom are putting so much of efforts to do the contents.

Where is it going wrong? Is it because of some parties that offer writing services as long they can earn a few penny. Just tell me your opinions my fellow friends.

It's been like that (probably) ever since the Internet started.

    You seemed surprised by this.

Isn't it like this with a lot of things and services? ... People try to chew you down to get a better price???

But they are not a threat, nor does this hurt your business.

If, IF it does, you are not cut out to be in that field anyway.

    No offense.

why? the answer is simple. everyone thinks they can be a "manager of a team of writers"
especially when there's a number of ebooks selling everywhere including DP stating "make 1000s selling articles"

With so much information around it is easier to spin an article rather then writing it. Or you can negociete the price wich is cheaper and faster.

Article writing, I've found, is a game of "you get what you pay for". Buy 25 500 word articles for $4 per article and then buy 25 500 word articles for $15 per article and look at the quality difference. It's probably fairly significant. That's not to say that someone is not going to screw you over and you overpaid for the $15 articles, but on average you will find that quality writers do not drop their price down that low. It takes me at least a half hour from start to finish to write a GOOD 500 word article and I sell them for $15. Is $30 per hour expensive to hire a writer? To some people it is, I'm sure. To others, they are more than willing to pay for quality work. Their image is on the line if they publish low quality, possibly spun articles under their brand name.

Yeah but sometimes they don't realize that the articles should be high quality to make sure anyone who publish them in the website can drive excellent traffic. Low quality articles as per my experience will just drive traffic just for small period of time. Whereas, high quality article will drive a long term traffic.

Price also depends upon how much energy and effort that a writer will put into an individual article. At the low end, you have the writers who simply go to Wikipedia or one of the major article directories and rewrite the information they find. At the higher end, you have the writers who conduct real research by finding original source materials, compiling information from several of them and crafting something different from what everyone else has.

At the end of the day, buyers have to balance the level of quality they want against what they think they can afford to pay and what sort of ROI they hope to achieve.

If you aren't paying a reasonable price for your articles, I assure you the content is not going to be satisfactory!

I personally have charged low amounts for writing services in the past but it was because I had bills coming up and needed a few more dollars to make it. I wouldn't advocate writing for less than $15 per 500 words on a regular basis though.

Perhaps the latest Google algorithm update will put an end to poor content on the web and the ridiculously low prices often charged for it. It's time people realised the difference good copywriting can make to a website.

Google, as sophisticated as the search engine can be in some regards, fails miserably at evaluating good and bad content writing. Therefore, unless a client demands quality content writing for their company's web site, link building off of anchor text is just as effective with crappy writing. It is sad, in my opinion. It is also quick and cheap. Clients with even the most basic SEO knowledge know this and also know where to cut corners.

Writing has become a global Industry, because we all pay in US Dollars 2 bucks can go a long way in some places.

I agree that quality suffers sometimes but for me I find it hard to compete with people that will work for 1-2 hours on an article for the princly sum of 2 Us dollars.

Being an Australian our currency bounces above the US dollar lately so it is even less than $2.

I applaud those people for having a go, but they have priced me out of the market. I no Longer write articles, I concentrate on the short ad. Better returns per word X 10 when you get a client base.

To get premium prices you need to be providing massive value, like spintax articles that can be used many times.

    Take care

I think because of the software and tools that new content writers are using right now like Spinner. However the quality is not that good as compared to technical writers that has been in the business for years now.

Some clients have been trained to expect low rates because there are a lot of writers who are willing to write for low amounts - either because they're desperate or because they live in countries where $2 per article isn't as low as it seems in the US. Also, lots of clients are just looking for search engine content, not quality writing so their standards aren't that high.

I think because of the widespread internet facilities all over the world and rise in the competition among the writers. Many writers are available now in the market.

because of competition. there's just too many good writers this time that didn't got a break because of their price so they need to lower their price.

However the competition is still they shouldn't lower their prices and stand with their own prices for the quality they have
