This is a follow up to my post at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2103812. I thought that it was not the correct category to ask question on how can I speed up my website. I am actually looking for a good cloud hosting for my growing website. I want to ask somebody here who have hosted at vps.net if it was good. If it was really a cloud hosting with load balancing. My website is http://www.sourcecodester.com/ and I noticed that the speed is so slow. I have already integrate it with CDN using maxcdn. Please read my previous post for more info.
I can vouch for VPS.NET, we exclusively use them for our shared hosting platform. Servers are flawless, customer service is fast and you also have access to the forums for community support, and the 'bang for buck' is excellent. I'm actually in the process of preparing another VPS as we speak, to host our main corporate website with them, which is currently on a dedicated server - once complete our entire infrastructure will be powered by VPS.NET. I'd personally recommend going over to the VPS.NET forums and posting your question, I'm sure the community would be able to advise you further
Unfortunately that's not possible, as I said, our own website is hosted on a dedicated server and not with VPS.NET (yet) At this point we have no website of our own on our servers @ VPS.NET, and for obvious reasons I won't post links to customers websites.
If you are looking for reliable cloud based web hosting service, check ch-center.com as this host can be suitable for your needs. What is so important is you always experience you are not alone dealing with customer or tech support.
I tried out VPS.NET a few months ago for a client but the size of the project got to be too big so we had to look for a dedicated server. The service was setup quick, the bandwidth to their London UK DC was decent coming from Florida, and my only gripe is their lack of handling Paypal yet.
ch-center.com is so cheap. I have to make some research on this and will consider your suggestion. Thanks
Yes you are right. They don't have automatic billing for PayPal. By the way, can you please tell me if 3 nodes is sufficient for a website that has more than 100k visitors a day just like my website? I'm afraid after I transfer to VPS.NET the speed is the same with hostgator that is my current web hosting.
I can vouch for them. They are a part of one of the biggest web hosting company UK2 group and they won't let you down. Average response time for support ticket will be around 20mins which is very good for an unmanaged provider. For more performance oriented could hosting, you may give Amazon EC2 a try.
I think your only concern would be bandwidth and their bandwidth allocation is not as generous as other providers. I think their resources could handle it but the bandwidth is always the biggest question.
I suggest you to check its review at WHT forum before purchase. BTW, I have read many good review about vps.net, but I have no personal experience.
