Firefox 4 was actually Firefox 3.5 but version 3.5 didn't have enough completed features to make a full version number change. That is why it took longer for v4 to come out. They needed the extra time to complete major additions that would justify a major version change. FF4 is getting buttoned up as we speak. They are down to 12 minor bug fixes, or "blockers" as they're called. It should be out in the next few weeks.
No one knows exactly, but they should launch it in the next week or so. They keep on coming up with excuses. A few more bugs, a few more bugs.....beta 1, 2........12. Let's hope they get it right and come up with a stable browser that works properly on all the websites.
Why do you have to get off topic with your stupid and silly comments? And no, i have no intentions reading your silly comments (99% of them). We all know how they go "Microsoft is .hit, they cheat, they steal, they lie, 20 years behind, they are going down. Mozilla and Google are my dear leaders, they can't do no wrong....etc"
How is giving information about the release a comment? Once again, you show you don't understand what you've read or, like most DP posters, don't read previous posts in a thread. What's interesting is, I respond to the stupid/silly comments others make about how wonderful Microsoft is yet their comments aren't stupid and silly?
except for the adds-on compatibility, firefox 4 looks neat. Now opera, IE, firefox 4 all have the same style as chrome.. simple
All these web browsers trying to out one another lately. I think maybe they are trying to see what the other is putting out, then delaying their release so they can add something extra. Don't know for sure though. I would really like to see firefox release a good solid stable release that will be much better than ie or chrome...oh wait they did that many years ago.
Just curious, does the Firefox 4 beta still place tabs as additional windows in the Windows7 taskbar? That was the reason I uninstalled it...
