It finds schools in the area and has forms to enter name, e-mail, newsletter sign up option, etc. The idea will be the same concept but maybe using different options (example: it searches for stores not schools). I'd also prefer if it would be possible to place into a wordpress page/widget/customer area? Are you dead set on ASP? We don't really use it much at all, but we're wordpress junkies so can handle this for you in php or something else. We custom develop wordpress applications and use outside the box deployments for unorthodox situations.
