I have lots of little income streams, one of which is Adsense. I also spend far too much time working on all sorts of interesting projects which don't pay anywhere near enough, but are fun.

Probably a good thing I'm not Adsense reliant, I'm applying for a house loan at the moment and no bank will accept it as income because its not a job, its not an investment, its not a business and they don't send me tax summary forms each year. It would all change if I closed my personal adsense account and opened one in a business name but that seems a bit dumb considering my highest earning site is a PERSONAL homepage with posts about me, personally, and I'm not about to go trademark myself and copyright my life.

Well, let me guess? Affiliate marketing is one of your main earners.

Adsense is great, but you still have to work to keep your SERP position, watch your hosting, etc etc. To keep the money coming everyday.

So.. you still have to work.

To answer the question, I certainly do not make enough money off of Adsense to replace my job. Although I have had success with other projects, Adsense fo me nowadays is down to a few clicks today. This is not enough to replace a day job.

I think its not wise to only think of adsense. When your sites grow, you better find other alternatives too along with adsense.

I would have to answer yes and no. I have had the luxury of no longer having to report to anyone thanks to the revenue I generate through Adsense, however, I would be a fool if I said that I no longer have to work. Having a steady stream of income through Adsense should never stop anyone from working harder on developing their websites for the constant changes being made online by advertisers and competing webmasters. The day you decide to stop working on generating and updating your websites, is the day some new webmaster eager to earn a buck online with ad clicks will begin to hang their money bag under your fountain of income. One must never stop working.

I am not even getting close to make a living out of Adsense. Started with Adsense last year and making around €1,5 / €2,5 daily. The websites i am currently own are game related websites and won't give more then €0,02 per click average. Currently working on new project in other niches with higher CPC's since i know i am able to build nice traffic sites. I hope to increase my earnings to atleast €10 / €20 daily before the end of the year. Since i am quite new to Adsense i can't combine my SEO experiences with it and its just a matter of time till if find the right recipe.

Have you tried to branch into other niches, or drive more traffic to your website - through search engine marketing?
