Look at there competition ... they are like amateurs so #1 is like assured for decent/high period of time ...
I guess so but if facebook will create there on search engine inside there social networking site or incorporate it with there site then maybe I'll be having second thoughts.
No I don't think so. Even now, it is not the #1 in some countries like china and russia. Almost half of the human kind in the World live in those countries and they are developing so fast.
Hard to predict. Facebook, Microsoft and Apple are all teamed up against Google. Facebook and apple products already have Bing embed, so as long as Android successfully opposes iphones and ipads, Google should be safe. I like this actually. Google having a dangerous rival will only motivate it to improve, and prevent it from doing what Microsoft did in the 90s.
I don't think google is going anywhere. Bing's search engine is trying to take over but I don't think it's going to happen.
Hah, yes it does. The first thing I tried to do with it was find people I used to know in my current state (because I figured they had all moved since school). And was boggled that I couldn't do that search. Like I know every single town name in my state to enter, one by one, just to find someone. Grrr. Turned out I got most of them by friending one person I didnt really know but who had 500 people on their list and it covered everyone, but still. I'd rather search than be forced to ... social network
Facebook has a search engine? Can you search for turtles or pink dresses for sale or technical details about WebM using Facebook? Or does Facebook only search Facebook? In which case, it's not much of a search engine.

Facebook isn't the same type of company as Google in the least. Google has tons of products, with search being the cash cow. Facebook only has their social networking. Google will stay on top because they have the best engineers around and there's no reason they'd lose them. And for anybody to compete they'd have to get to Google's level of engineering first.
