Have you read Joel Comm "Adsense Is Alive"??

Hi there, following my last thread about "the death of adsense" and "adsense is not death"

Today, I've got mail from Joel comm to grab his new e-book "Adsense is Alive" :D I'm exicited to read because this is some kind of debate between him (called Adsense Guru in "The Death of Adsense" book) and scott boulch (who presented his new technique "click flipping")

After I read it in compare, I think both Joel and Scott brought me a good point but I give more credit to Joel because...how can I believe a guy who is a black-hatter that made MFA sites before, even he show me a good point. :D I think adsense is still a good way to monetizes your site traffic. But as I said from the last therad, keep focus on build up your site quality and you will find a many great ways to monetizes your traffics yourself.

PS. for the chicken-hearted person who gave me a grey rep for my last therad :D Just come here and give me a grey again if you want. ;) you're coward that gave me a grey without any reason given.

I'm gonna start click flipping tonight with $10 daily budget for very low paying clicks, lets see if I can convert anything.

Click flipping works and I have done it. I will tell you this though......if you are buying clicks from second tier PPC's like searchfeed and converting them with AdSense (as most people are) adsense adjusts itself over time based on "quality of clicks". You will see your profits go down gradually the longer you continue to use this method. Unless of course your clicks are converting to sales wich I have found to be very rare in cases like this as the quality of traffic from your second tier PPC's is usually very poor.

Joel's AdSense is Alive ebook is rubbish in my opinion and I want that 20 minutes of my life back to be honest. That is not to say that most of his stuff is like that - I have actually purchased his AdSense Code book before which was quite good, but that AdSense is Alive ebook was just taking advantage of the marketing opportunity as a result of the stir created by the AdSense is Dead ebook, and he was using the opportunity to further build his email list so he can spam his affiliate links and plug his new product he is releasing. Well that was make take on it.

It was good marketing but a boring eBook!

Well once he has your email he can send you offer after offer about things like his AdSense Templates and I don't know what they are selling for but no doubt they are going for close to $100 if not more, and I mean if he sends that email out to 50,000 people and 1 in 50 people buy the package that is an easy $100,000 he has made from that one email and product alone. Now imagine we he started plugging someone else product every week he probably pulls a healthy $30 per referral, so that's another easy $30,000 a week. That is why email list building is so valuable - it's great marketing.

I didn't think much of it, and I'm really not happy about the huge number of emails I now get from him! I don't want instant adsense templates yet I get at least one email a day about them

Sensational headlines that's all Adsense is alive, dead, in purgatory etc.

Adsense as a business model won't die in the near future but new business methods (online) will be found.

    - Your site messed up with Firefox.
    - I cannot see english text readable but alien. (assume your site is vietnam and your font and language is vietnam, how do I or other people who don't know about vietnam langauge can read it. even I don't have vietnam font encoding in my PC)
    - suggest you use babel fish or some module to make your site 2 languages.
    - If you want to promote your site in SEO terms, use some modules or change your CMS, your URL is onyl dynamic and too much complex for Google to read.
    - Don't spam other threads man, your site is useful for vietnamese but not for people who don't know your language.

A very well orchestrated marketing ploy... ;). Unfortunately it took so many new AdSense users hook line and sinker - LOL I still haven't read the AdSense is dead article/ebook/whatever it is.

That said this isn't exactly a new model - I have heard of other "gurus" starting arguments and essentially flaming wars just to stir up a bit of buzz and when things has sufficiently escalated to the point where every webmaster and his dog is sticking their head in to see what is going the so conveniently solve their conflict and plus each others brand new products... it doesn't win you any friends but it is definitely wonderful marketing that definitely will get you a few extra $$$. And who needs friends when you have money.

    :p
