Don't expect to get a lot of clicks in the beginning. It takes a lot of time, hard work and dedication to start earning.
you cant expect to build Roma in one day focus on your website quality before you think about "click"
Traffic is king. If you have no or very little traffic then you have nothing for click on your ads. Just increase your traffic, definitely your income through Adsense will increase. Do SEO and increase traffic every thing will increase.
You should read G advice first. But i can't put a link here .sorry It is good when you place AS next to the navigation menu, or if it is possible to fit them in the menu items. People often do not read the content to the end and visit your web for a few seconds, it is necessary that your ads are visible immediately, without having to scroll the window. So if they not visible , certainly no one will click. It is also good place AS between the fragments of text ads, but that work when ads are not firmly separated from the text. And like guys said ,traffic is the main key + people willing to click.
I am sure that you don't have got any valuable contents and you don't have traffic, and thats why you are not getting clicks, if nobody visits your website then who will click?
This here is a perfect example of what not to do when designing websites. Sounds like you designed your website expecting that once you launch it, traffic and ad clicks will magically appear. If that was your plan, I suggest you revisit your strategy for making money online, and try again. If you want to generate income through ad clicks, fine, just as long as you understand that every ad click you receive will interfere with any other earning potentials you offer at your site (ie. services, products, etc.) if any. And even if you discover methods for generating traffic, what is most important, is the content of your site. If the content of your site is weak, your visitors will exit your website within seconds of arriving, and most likely never return. So in a nutshell, advertise and market your website properly (if it is worth having people visit your site please), add rich content to your site, place ads strategically across the site, and monitor what your visitors are doing once at your site. Promote your site in order to get more traffic. Traffic is one of the main reason in order to increase your clicks.
Focus on driving traffic through quality content. Without traffic and good content, you won't earn nothin. Work hard, get paid.
