Don't know if it helps... but when I have a link added somewhere, I submit the URL to be crawled by google, bing, and yahoo.
Are High PR pages even of importance? I read that it doesnt matter if you have links on high PR pages, I read just to get links that are of relevant content to your own site, is this true?
Yahoo always seems to show more than google. I just signed up for google web master tools. We'll see.
As others have said, Yahoo tends to display (almost) every backlink. Google limits the amount of backlinks they'll show.
*facepalm* Am I way overboard if I mention that this question has been answered 1,000 times on DP and around a gazillion times on all forums and blogs on the Internet? You should never expect two different services to give you the EXACT same output. Think of Andrew and Bill each running their own (offline) surveying system. Cedric and Dylan are selling the very same product and they just started their venues. Andrew did his homework and saw that Cedric's masterpiece had 1043 vouches and Dylan's only had 712. Bill only managed to interview a small share of Andrew's base, and came up with 101 thumbs up for Cedric and 132 for Dylan. On the other hand, Bill's venue has the resources to interview 100,000 prospective buyers a month, whereas Andrew can only do 30,000. Which one do you trust? I know, it's a retarded example, there are way more aspects to be factored in. But don't -- just DON'T!! -- compare the reports. Take them BOTH into account and start off your "dirty deeds" from there.
See don't worry about Google backlink too much cause once you are ok with you backlink than move on..cause don't waste time on worry why the backlink is not showing cause something it takes look time.. So carry on... Thanks Alam
This is normal. I know for a fact that one of my websites has over 1k backlinks but if you use any "backlink checker" website or using link:domain.com but it will only show 1 or 2. All depends on the age and authority of the website too.
To answer the question...in my experience over the years, Google seems to want to not display all of the backlinks you have (even though they may have them all in their database). Yahoo! is simply more open about it. It's not that Google is slower to pick up on the links...in fact, I think it's quite the opposite actually.
I agree with this. Google just displays them later, and only the really good ones, same thing with Alexa. On sites linking in, it only displays really high PR sites that link in to your site.
Yahoo is more faster then Google for adding new back links. Yahoo always show more back link then Google because Google only include quality back links
Hi, I think you could build link with only Google cached website's that will help you to build Google links. thanks
when I search for links to my site in google I find about 17 of them. When I take a look in my webmaster tools I find 6760 of them. My site is about 1 and a half month old.
yahoo show the high quality back links.and Google not show all back links and not counting the back link.
