Actually, the new IE is ahead of any other browsers in terms of development. The issue lies with older sites either not adopting/updating to Microsoft new standards.
Don't get me wrong - I've been using Firefox for years now, but all this pointless put-downs of IE is so 2004.

    Absolutely false and pure hogwash!
    What Microsoft standards?
Then you haven't done any web development since 2004. Otherwise, you'd know IE9 will continue Microsoft's legacy of producing the worst browser on the planet.

    You bore me.
Besides, I would take the opinion of experts any day, especially over someone who cannot debate without resorting to insults.

Cross browser test conducted revealed that IE9 RC1 tops every other browser
    http://samples.msdn.microsoft.com/ietestcenter/

One of the most read technology reviewer, Ian Paul, provides an illuminating review on the browser wars.
    http://www.pcworld.com/article/219465/browser_feature_war_ie9_rc1_vs_firefox_4_vs_chrome_9.html

But hey, don't let facts get in your way, eh?

Oh, Microsoft bashing was very cool in 2000, moderately so by the middle of the decade, but now, its lame.

Internet Explorer sucks, Microsoft sucks, everything that is Microsoft related sucks. Who the hell says Ian Paul is the best technology reviewer ? You live in a fantasy world called the internet, I think you should get out more.

I worked in several companies and in a big one, HP. Over there people are so sick of Internet Explorer, but you must make the client website to be IE compatible for people like you who worship IE. All my colleagues used Chrome or Firefox.

On a website of mine, from 5000 visits that I get monthly, only 10% use Internet Explorer, 75% firefox, 13% chrome and the rest other browsers. So, IE SUCKS.

I then take it you dont use Microsoft Windows as your operating system? Linux or Mac perhabst ?

Windows 7 is the best windows OS so far. Credits to Microsoft for that.

Your percentage stats of Web Browser marketshare doesnt have to mean IE sucks, it has sucked though but people tend to use the browser they enjoy the most. It would need a major turn around for IE to grab marketshares from Firefox because they have not done any mistakes so far.

I dont use IE because i dont like it and that doesnt mean it sucks.

    Excellent way of putting it.
Some people can only argue in the extremes, not realizing that by doing so, no one takes them seriously. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but blatant hysterics are just plain silly.

Well, before you start parading your credentials over the internet ever again, credentials that no one gives a damn or even believe, it would be good if you at least READ my post before trying to be oh-so-clever. I clearly state that I am using Firefox.

Your basis in calling IE 'suck' is laughable. Surely your conclusion is based on better data than that, which sounds like the rant of a 15 year old, truth be told
    You bore me.

Until one or the other dies off completely there will always be the likers and the haters. Kind of like Ford vs. Chevy's here in the u.s. People fight and argue with one another about which is better all the time. I am not a fan of ie and it wouldn't be my first choice, but I do use it to check compatibility from one site to another I work on. I am glad there are several popular browsers and they are competitive. They keep coming up with new ideas, make things faster, better with more features, etc. etc. They want to out do one another which is good for me. Otherwise, I would be stuck with one browser and no alternatives and that would be no fun.

I can't stand IE, I find it slow and generally inferior to Chrome and FF. I use both FF and Chrome these days. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

And you didn't since you didn't read my link.
You make it so easy to do, though. With comments like yours, you show you are oblivious to your surroundings.
Wow! Microsoft says Microsoft's IE9 is a great browser! Who woulda thunk that? Of course, they only show the tests Microsoft wrote. And they only show the tests they passed. And they DON'T show the tests they failed at. But it DOES show you didn't read or understand the link I gave.
Never heard of the guy but what is illuminating about his article? He says nothing about the tests at all. He takes no position. He essentially says nothing. But it turned you on, i see.
What facts? His article is pure conjecture and flluff. My links show hard facts. Your Microsoft link is incomplete. My link is thorough and backed up elsewhere. You have no facts.
Funny how Windows users whimper and squeak "bashing" and "fanboy" as they cower behind a rock. They hate it when the truth hits them in the face and defies what Microsoft told them to think.

Tell you what, Thales. Show me ONE web site that shows IE9 covers more features than Firefox or Chrome, such as in the link I gave you, WITH PROOF! None of this "IE9 is the best, gee whillikers!" written by "johnny1234" on DP two years ago, like you linked to above. You won't. You can't do it. You will fail.
