with regard to this problem with hotfile, obviously do not upload mainstream hollywood movies/series or else you will eventually get slammed, those guys have the muscle to get you taken down - also they never ever sell liscense that allows you to distribute their stuff over the net, other things like adult studios do do this. Also a lot of games console and pc are getting themselves some good legal representation and muscle, you post this and again you will get slammed. Keep away from those.

Rapidshare got slammed with a couple of 10M fines, that soon woke them up, the same will happen to all share sites once they reach a certain size, therefore best to make sure to get rid of material like that asap.

Is taking a lot of time for files to be available. It takes like 5 minutes to upload a file, and 15 minutes to become available.

i hope hish and his group can talk to the pornbb owner about the new rules..this is somehow a bad blow for some of the affiliates

 

That site was soled to oron, that's why their new decision in favor of them.

 

Heard about this rumor too, but dont think Oron bought pornbb, otherwise depositfiles and hotfile wouldnt be allowed there.
They would only allow Oron + rapidshare and megaupload (as there is almost no earning from this 2 host people will mostly use Oron), thats what they did for Ophilia when they bought it.

 

is this a rumor?? lets hope not...because if its true how come they still allow other paying site??

and also before they still use the filesonic banner on their site..for sure they earned a lot by domain sales

 

Anyway this have affected sales a lot, many of us have to migrate to ppd plans too soon.

 

If they are allowing other paying hosts then they might have done this because of heavy spamming by filesonic remote uploaders.

 

so if filesonic will disable the RU from filesonic to filesonic you think they will re-consider?

It's funny because Oron officially doesn't accept adult material to be hosted. I don't mean illegal stuff, I mean every kind of adult stuff. But at the same time there are several adult forums that are clearly supported by Oron....
I was checking their thread here on DP and there are several users asking them if adult content is allowed. Oron admins keep warning users that adult stuff isn't allowed.
I know that every fileshoster has the same TOS, but Oron admins are the only ones that keep warning users about not uploading adult stuff.
Maybe their tactic is to wait till when an user has a good number of referrals, then they will shut down his account with the excuse that he posted adult stuff somewhere so all the rebills will go to Oron and not to the affiliate. I could be wrong but Oron smells pretty fishy under this point of view.

They are banning fileserve too so this is not the reason. Please don't keep on about this remote upload issue it has become boring as other members have pointed out to you. Leave filesonic and use another host that does not allow internal RU.

The problem is as you know, everyone will then just leach your stuff to all the other sharehosts they work with, and then maybe even back again to filesonic. Most who are serious have their own remote desktops and can do what they like anyway. They will just end up burning up more BW for filesonic by downloading and uploading it all again, and by creating several mirrors. Filesonic are growing faster than the others in part because of the internal RU. Traffic and costs are their concern, not if someone is using your files to get more traffic. If the content is yours and you own it then brand it with your name or site name and benefit from their work. Either way please don't keep spamming your message over and over and over at every chance. Simply go to hotfile or fileserve or somewhere else that does not allow internal RU - it is simple.

I am no longer asking filesonic about banning of fs to fs ru feature, its always up to the admin/staff to make decisions about their company, I was just replying to k0ib0tz's posts concerning the situation at pxxnbb, you have to also read my previous posts to get what I meant, I am not spamming, just discussing.
