Contest $150-Homepage Design PSD Needed --Urgent!

My current designer came up with something i'm not very happy with. You can see the attached design for a homepage they gave to me. I would like someone to come up with an original, creative and awesome design using the attached logo and mascot. I'll leave the colors and layout up to you, but please use your imagination. We are a travel deals website (similar to groupon). Deals are offered in a 'Flash' Style format, so these deals are only available for up to 7 days. The jist of our business is similar to a escapes.livingsocial, tripalertz, vacationist, sniqueaway, etc. And if you're design is unbelievable, i might just have you help on other stuff we are working on. lol that's not hard to achieve yourself.

 

Sure, but I'd rather spend my time designing a kick-ass layout rather then messing around with the magic wand tool

Monty: not too bad...i like the clouds in the background, but the text for the deals is kind of tough to read.
