So yours will be one of 100's I delete everyday on my directories because they have submitted to the wrong category or did not read and follow the rules
Nope, I won't be. I look at all my submission reports and I submit to the right category 99.9% of the time. It's another misconception that submission software is dumb and always pick the wrong category, but it's actually better because software is better at searching through a long list of hundreds of categories than a human ever could be. Trying to find the right category from those massive drop-down lists is a nightmare - it takes too long and who's to say you selected the best category anyway?
I don't know, I'd have to disagree... these are all common misconceptions made worse by the (all too common) parrot effect found on many forums. 1. Category - Sure it's nice to have less competing links on the category page, but in reality, most of those internal category pages are not passing much PR anyhow and a few more (or less) links on the page is NOT going to have a drastic effect on your campaign... the lost time in reviewing all the appropriate categories, will. 2. Change the anchor text every 10-20 submission - Sorry but is total Bull Crap. You are submitting to a directory, it's normal to use a standard set of anchor/desc text to save time and have consistency. "Natural" linking is when people link to you on their own... the fact that your link is originating from a directory means that you have probably asked for it to be there, but there is nothing wrong with that. 3. Huge amount of backlinks at once - There might be truth to this, or maybe not... it doesn't matter though because even if you submit to 1000 directories, it will probably take weeks to months for the majority of those submissions to be approved (directory owners are lazy). This means that you will still get a steady stream of incoming links over several months. The BIGGEST mistake you make when you do a large amount of manual submissions: Forget to realize that your TIME is worth MONEY. Automatic submission can take a couple of hours, manual submissions can take a week... my time is better spent doing other things, how about yours? My 2c. Pete
Does anyone possess or know where one could find a complete list of directories in order of importance? this would be a great tool... Thanks.
I always submit directories by manhand and by this way you can choose hight quality directories to submit.
you could google it or I can tell you BOTW.org Yahoo Directory Joe Ant and Business.com and your good to go all others are pretty much a waste.
Can submiteaze do anything with reciprocal links? So basically using the auto captcha thing is $2 per 1000 directories? What happens when the software gets updated, do you automatically know what directories are added to the list?
I submit directoris manually it is the best way to submitting directoris not with softwaer .i use google crome with auto fill option to save time and submitting more directoris in a day. so it is the the best way to submit the directoris is manually.
@brandonbw, yes you can automatically create reciprocal links with submiteaze. i think there's a video on their website @michalparke & @nanncy222 - you're kidding yourselves if you think it makes a blind bit of difference if you submit manually (via a web browser), and it's certainly not "best". When you press the submit button on a web directory all you're doing is posting your submission details to the directory. Directory submission software does exactly the same thing and it makes no difference at all to the submission or whether it's accepted or not. If you choose to submit via a web browser out of matter of preference then fair enough, but it's certainly not "better" than using submission software. Both have the same end result, but using something like submiteaze to do the submissions just makes the process 100x faster.
