what the are you talking about? this features was created for easy transload of your files from other filehost to filesonic. what do you mean of steal? if you filmed your own movie, design your own soft ware, you sex with a pornstar, then I believe you, you didn't steal anyone's file.

 

it would be good, a choice in settings page : "allow remote upload".

in default this option checked and everyone could remote upload this user files but when user disabled this settings nobody remote upload this user's files. Most users annoying this fs to fs remote upload...

i protect my files with password but this nearly finish my sales. password protection is not a good option.

@prem - RU is a great tool to increase popularity of hosts by bringing files from other hosts to filesonic but we are only talking about files which are already on filesonic servers

@GuyFromPanoy - I mean these features are used mainly & only by people who make new posts by remote uploading already uploaded files.

I noticed this too password protected files reduces chances of sales little bit

 

my friend who introduced me to filesonic post only at 1 forum as money is not that important to him as he has well paid job . sometimes or many times i remote upload his filesonic stuff (and he knows that ) to post on different forums which he never browse and i get many sales , so RU is still useful .. right ? i have made over $1000 on his VIP stuff which he generally doesn't share to other forums.

Best option is to add shortcut url to your "all uploads" or your "website" in your files you upload.

This is OK for him as you are friends & you asked his permission before remote uploading his files, but most of the leechers don't care about original filesonic uploaders efforts & they post in the same forum itself which will drastically affect sales & downloads from original uploaders thread.

 

as i already wrote - in the mean time take all this 'leaching' as you are helping filesonic grow and you will be rewarded for this in future, for sure.

How do you help FileSonic grow if these leechers RU and post your content at the same sites and boards that you have already posted, just a minute or two after you posted? That content is already posted at that place. That does not help FileSonic grow, that can only halp Filesonic get banned on some boards due to enormous spamming with same content and that can also make some of Filesonic honest uploaders with premium content to leave Filesonic and move to other filehost that can protect they hard work better.

 

reasons for banning filesonic are different than what you mentioned. and if your content belongs to you and is rare , pass protect it else they are various other filehosts , you can try them and i will welcome you after few weeks again , here back to filesonic .

 

I'm not talking about pbb, I know what are the reasons for banning Filesonic there (if it happens). But the fact is that a lot of places are completely flooded with same content by leechers and that is quite annoying to both downloaders and administrators and can result in banning Filesonic. And what's most important: that demotivates original uploader with premium content, why would someone post his premium content if he knows that minutes after leechers are going to just copy his files and flood with it the same place.
