In my opinion, many good people that're on PPS will turn to PPD, as sales are unkown every day, and how do you want to sale, when you dont' up files...It's easier?! I guess so, but i kept my PPD and i'm sure the amount i will get pay...

These features are meant for those leechers who want to steal others uploaded files.

Please bring some features to protect the interest of dedicated uploaders too...

 

Your wasting your breath mate - clearly it's all going to hell. I suspect this is all going to end in one last big frenzy so just grab what you can and start looking for another source of income - cash hosting is on it's last legs.

 

I can not speak for other file hosts, but I can assure you that FileSonic is here to stay... and not on it's last legs !

If they ru filesonic files to other host then bring it back, then the chances for fs to fs ru is reduced greatly when compared to current instant fs to fs ru feature.

By preventing fs to fs ru (by giving an option to allow or disallow fs to fs ru feature to uploaders) filesonic internal leeching probability can be reduced to great extent.

dkp , if you have problem with filesonic ru to ru then why not you leave filesonic ? you are complaining since last 50 pages and actually letting more people know about this.

you are here because you are earning by sharing stuff . stuff u didn't produce at first place so if somebody else is sharing 'from' u , u got problems ? hypocritical eh ?

 

I really didn't mean filesonic as such, I meant the whole thing. I hate to be so, well, jaded about it but I suspect the current law suits will be successful. If they are then where do we go from there ? I mean no cash host will be able to operate then.
It's pretty sad, but not unexpected - I always thought it would happen. The problem is (partly) that the hosts and the hosted material have become too close to each other - hosts sponsoring forums (and now buying them) just totally changes the game and leaves them wide open to prosecution with a very real chance of success, because the old defence just won't work as it's easy to show complicity.
I just get the feeling we are looking at the start of the end, and at this point I think it's irreversible - the damage is done.
I'm sure Hish, that you and filesonic have the best of intentions and do not want to close or radically alter your approach, but mate I really don't think there will be much choice soon (I honestly hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it).
As for the leeching plugin - well frankly that's just a kick in the teeth for genuine uploaders, but at this point maybe it's better to just poach as much as possible and grab as much income as possible while we still can, and screw any thought's of 'fair play'. So whatever - if you can't beat 'em, join 'em eh ?

You would think it can be reduced... But from what I know, if someone wants to do it, he will do it in anyway he can... And it only costs a premium from the other host

I just want to keep filesonic forever that's why I & many others raising this feature again & again as you can see many forums (ex: pxxnbb) are trying to expel filesonic links mainly due to many spam posts & this is affecting filesonic premium sales heavily.

I admit all the stuffs we are uploading is not our own copyrighted stuffs but when we rate uploaders effort like real downloading from various source, editing them, compressing them, taking screeshots, backuping on our hard disk which consumes lots of space. uploading them by spending our time, bandwidth (off course ISP costs), electricity bill by putting computer on for several hours etc vs leechers effort whose only task is to parse links from posts to filesonic remote upload page & post new links to their thread within seconds, is it fair ?

i know the answer is yes , because thats why you are still here.

Now , its not hard to understand that filesonic need to be popular and they can only be popular if their links are in plenty and RU does just that.
trust me , if RU is stopped you earnings will actually decrease than increasing as nobody will like to buy an account on a file host having just few thousands of files.

give it a time , once FSC is as famous as it should be , RU feature will be the first thing to be 'acted' upon.

I guess hish will support me on this and in the mean time take all the 'leaching' as you are helping filesonic grow and you will be rewarded for this in future, for sure.
