Google is the great source of knowledge, just put "Onpage SEO" and will get lots of search result related with your query. Read tip and suggestion there to improve onpage seo of your site. I have no idea about getting instant traffic but you can get massive traffic through these sites.
keyword selection is one of the important part of On page SEO, when you are done with that, go for the alt tag and image tag. after that, use proper content on your site and use H1 tags for your most important keyword. One thing that I want to say the URL you have taken is seems to me not that much useful. You should have taken a url where you can use at least one of your keyword, however its all your decision.
twitter and facebook are good for getting traffic but you need to make a good tweet or post, not doing some spam tweet cause many people will not go to your site by spammy link
