When was the last time your submission got approved in DMOZ?

    Honestly I've been trying for a few sites (my own and friends') since 2009 but never got approved.

    I haven't tried recently but it was probably 2008 when I was last approved.

    http://www.dmoz.org/search?type=advanced

    Tips for getting listed? List a quality site in the proper category with an appropriate description.

    Never. Began in the 2002/3 time frame and finally gave up trying a couple years ago. I have 1 listed site but it was already listed when I bought it in 2000.

    I think domain age is very much considered while approving the site by human editors at DMOZ. I have submitted my new site for listing and it is three months now i see no listing at DMOZ. But it worked for me on one of my old domain and it got listed in two weeks time.
