If 78 percent of soldiers dies at the first battle roam good, then you have nothing to worry... Cheers,
It is quite high. I would suggest finding a target group and ask them ways to improve the site. Why not try the review section in this site.
If you post a link to your site then we'll be in a better position to see if your bounce rate is OK or bad.
Though it is quite high, what is the general average bounce rate considered as an ideal ? and how to lower from such a high rate ?
You're bounce rate is way way wayyyy too high.....it should usually be below 50.....so if you could get it down to 30 or 40 that would be good. Try better content or layout? If your website is hard to navigate or slow, your bounce rate will go up because people are impatient.
It depends, his bounce rate may not be that high if it's just a 1 page pitch site. If it's an information site where you want others to look at additional pages, then yea, it's really bad.
Personally if mine goes above 50% I get concerned. But as mentioned above it really does depend on the nature of your site
It also depends where the traffic is coming from and why, if it's just to look at 1 page story or something then bounce rate is expected to be high.
Good point, there's lots of factors to take into account, but generally i'd say that a high bounce rate can show lack of interest in your site as a whole, which tends to be a negative thing.
like this one .. IMHO.. Bounce rates only good for a one page sales letter where visitor bounced to to checkout page somewhere else ..
A bounce occurs when a web site visitor only views a single page on a website, that is, the visitor leaves a site without visiting any other pages before a individual session-timeout occurs. There is no industry-standard minimum or maximum time by which a visitor must leave in order for a bounce to occur.
