I was wondering what's the usual price to pay someone for daily postings on a blog?

Blog is entertainment based news website, mainly rewriting news from other news outlet , 7 articles peer week or few more depending on the quantity of news.

How much are bloggers payed and where to find good ones? Elance?

If you use software, it's a few cents a pop (comments free).

    If you use J K Rowling, it's $90,000 a pop (comments extra).

You pays yer money, you makes yer choice.

You can find good bloggers right here on DP Forums - if you know where to look and have a budget that pays them accordingly. Some will charge per post while others may charge by the word. Scan the Content Creation Forum and see if anyone catches your eye. If so, strike up a deal and go from there.

(I am very anti-paying-the-middle-man websites and will never advocate sites that charge a fee to find writers/clients.)

The price can range from a buck a blog on up to $300 to $500 (a buck a word).

To find a good one, check out similar blogs, and pick out the ones you enjoy reading. Then send the bloggers a note.

You can also check out MSN, Yahoo, AOL as they have many article writers there who may also want to blog.

Since there are more ding dongs than there are quality writers, I would pass on this board, Elance, and other such sites.

Have you tried simple searches? http://www.google.com/#hl=en&sugexp...+find+bloggers&pbx=1&fp=e637dc619dfb9af3&bs=1

There is this, also. Look through their archive. http://www.problogger.net/archives/2007/02/28/how-to-find-a-guest-blogger-for-your-blog/

There are many stay-at-home moms who work on the cheap, so you may want to check this board out. http://www.wahm.com/forum/

I rarely blog, but when I do, as a copywriter, I can write up a shitstorm. My rate per word starts at fifteen cents. More if I have to do research, which is most of the time.

    A gunner eh?
    Luck against Barca tonight mate.

    Right. The rates.
Here's a tip. Start of with the best that you can afford first. And spend some time selecting your candidate - if it works out, he will be there for the long haul, and a relationship built on trust from a long association is a hard commodity to find. Troll around writing message boards, see which writing style captures your attention, see if their personality fits yours, and then PM them in private. Do a trial article. Resist the urge to post in sites like Freelancer.com. That's it.
    Good luck.

Depends on whether research is necessary in order to compose the blog posts. If so, the price will probably be higher. Regardless, it will probably be very affordable.
