This is question for all SEO experts. One of my company client website xyz.com has google showing 200 plus results in cache when trying site:xyz.com. But when I try searching some content from cached versions of these pages, nothing really coming in search results from this website or other websites.

Anyone have an idea why is this happening?

i think the content is copied from other websites ,so Google has detected Phishing. you can try to write a mail to Google web master and solve the issue.

It would be easier to see an example with the actual URL, but I understand if it's a client and you can't share.

It could be recently indexed and the results haven't caught up yet. If it's new content, give it some time.

It could also be a quirk with how you're searching - are you absolutely sure it's nowhere in SERPs?

It's a client website, so won't be able to share the link. I'm really sorry about it

Its appearing in Google for its brand name and have 200 plus pages cache in Google. But none of page content really showing on Google when I try searching some content in "" from any of this website page. This website does not even have duplicate content

Have you directly copy pasted the complete URL of individual pages in google and checked, have they been cached and when ?
Sometimes it says that its cached, but when you try to find with actual search, you get nothing.

Either your website contains a copied content or your website content has been copied by any other site(s). You need to re-write content for your pages and make sure your website is well optimized to be easily crawled and indexed by Google.
