If you want to know the ranking factors that tells me that you might be thinking about cheating or trying to take shortcuts to ranking high. Just write great content and you'll get there and you'll stay ranking high with every algorithm update.
I think the new google algorithm is a secret for every one and matt cutts can't show it to audiences. But i know that google algorithm will depend on some quality backlinks of sites.
Wow. Everybody took the question in hand the wrong way. Obviously enough, I don't think this guy was asking for Google's algorithm per se but instead, he was asking for the latest Google algorithm (as by the term he used) 'happenings'. I'd highly bet he meant updates or news. As for the latest update on their algorithm, the most recent news was with the spam control Google was trying to do an update on. This was from last month but it's still worth the read. http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/algorithm-change-launched/ And with that, most of you might have noticed 'slight' changes in your rankings for the past couple of days. It really helps to read more often.
I am pretty sure he is not asking specifically for Goggles algorithm, but the latest announced changes to the Algorithm. Come on people grab a brain and try to be helpful.
The best quote of the day. The astounding number of worthless posts about being top secret, etc. are a joke. If you people have no insight or opinion of the latest algorithm change, then go somewhere else to run up your post count. I will say that although Google has publicly stated this update looks at onpage factors, I also believe they have adjusted more weight towards those websites which have a good reputation. This means less weight to backlinks and more weight to leading online brands. In the absence of any real strategy to reduce spam, Google appears to have taken the easy route by devaluing lesser known brands for those brands which are clean. Relevancy certainly suffers because of this and it also has a negative impact on small businesses which are unable to compete for domain authority but are indeed authorities in their own respective niches.
you will never crack the exact algorithm of google. The only way to know about the best practices is to test and track things yourself
No one really knows how Google algorithm works aside from Google them selves. Some may say something but only speculation based on their observations but they can't totally tell how it really works.
'cheating'??? It's Google, for heaven's sake. It's a search engine, not the Joint Matriculation Board. Google have the lions share of the traffic right now, and people want some of that traffic. This is the business world, so there's no question of 'cheating'. You do whatever you can to get your slice of the pie. Or perhaps you think Google got where they are by 'playing fair'.
Thanks for noting it to me, seriously im not chasing the algorithm after a gap of 2 years i really want to be always updated about the algorithm.
Google's co-founder Larry Page focused on developing the "perfect search engine," an algorithm that would understand what you mean when you are typing a search term and the search engine will give you the exact results that you were looking for.
Don't waste your time on such awkward question ,just make unique contents and back links it will definitely give you high PR.
You need to stop worrying about Google's algorithms and focus on setting up your own algorithms / procedures that bring in the results. There's only a way to do this, and it's a never-ending journey called "Try and Test". Have fun! If you're hoping for someone to just shower you with their hard earned pearls of wisdom.... well, I'd say it's time to "keep it real".
yeah I never worried about their algorithm.. it only caused headache, just concentrate on your content and seo efforts
