Not bad ... but need some face lift

I like your blog but if you want to make it better then you could always update it. A good way of doing this would be to download a free wordpress template of your choosing and edit it to make your blog better. If you need help doing this simply put the search term 'How To Tweak or Edit Your WordPress Theme' into Google and click on the first website which comes up in the search results which is a Youtube video link.

 

Frankly, the blog design looks a few years older. You could find really good wordpress themes for free if you do a google. I would advice you personally to give the website a facelift on its looks.

I just had a look at your blog - it's really a top quality blog. I've joined your FB fanpage and started following you on Twitter. Did you design the template of your blog?

 

Great work but header could be much better..

 

The main problems design-wise are colour scheme (Purple links on green background, no ) and header.

The header image quality is terrible, it has 4 different fonts in it (and they're all ugly), something a bit more professional as a header will make a huge difference to the entire site. It's also completely pink, which isn't echoed anywhere else in the site and makes it stick out like a sore thumb.

Your Welcome. The colours look great both funky and exotic. I see that you blog is for Parrot lovers, therefore you could always have a free wordpress parrot theme. A good example of this is if you put into Google the search term: 'wpskins Parrot-66' and select the 2nd one down from the results, this will give you a good example of what I mean. Alternatively another good example can be found if you put the search term: 'wordpress theme parrot 6' into Google and from the results select the 1st one on the list. I hope that this helps.

 

I agree with the suggestion about the header. It is nicely monetized but in order to get others to advertise on the site in neds to contain information either funny (viral effect) or rare information attract potential buyers for your amazon income!

Thanks for all the tips. The parrot themes are really nice. But Charly is an Umbrella Cacadu (aka Cockatoo) - I need a theme with a picture of a Cacadu. You've given me a lead - I'll do a search on Cacadu themes.

 

Thanks for the feedback. I completely agree that Charly's blog needs high quality information. The funny stuff will be Charlys videos and the "rare information" will be well researched wikipedia-style articles. I intend to add a page with book reviews and expert information on Cacadus.

 

Thanks for the feedback - I'll try to design a different header. I really liked that exotic looking flower and I wanted to incorporate it in my header.
