Backlinks on Yahoo but not Google?

I am building backlinks to get ranked on Google but I see them only on Yahoo and not Google..why is this? Does it take longer for Google to see the links than Yahoo? I have been backlink building for two months and see none of 100 links I have on Google, only Yahoo????

 

Yeah that's fine.. for indexing yahoo takes a long time to index page but backlinking yahoo much quicker than Google...

Google takes long time to show their banklinking that is why it takes long time to show in the ranking..

Google will rarely if ever show you all your backlinks when you put in link:http://www.yourdomain.com. They do however show you in the webmaster tools fairly quickly.

 

I experience the same thing. but I notice that it oesn't stop my keyword improving on google. I am improving on google though without backlink showing.

 

That's just a normal thing because yahoo indexed backlinks faster than Google. That is why you get that kind of result. And one more thing, It's just so common that Google doesn't show all of your backlinks.

Maybe your links are not indexed yet by google or your links are nofollow. Yahoo and Bing ignore it but google is so strict of dofollow and nofollow links that makes search engine marketers feel pain in their asses.

I heard that Google does this stuff on purpose so it's harder for people to do SEO and see their progress.

 

Basically google doesnot count all the backlinks which are counted by yahoo. Yahoo has completely different algorithm for counting backlinks for a site. It also counts the no-follow and the do-follow links of a page or a website. However google makes a not of all the minute details of the site where your link is situated and then counts it or shows it in its search engine as a 'backlink'. So dont get disappointment if google shows less backlinks, you are on the right path

 

If,the backlink doesn't show up in your webmasters tool try pinging your backlinks.

 

Basically, both search engines have different algorithms. Both treat links differently.
Like Google only shows your high quality backlinks while Yahoo shows them all.

I have the same problem with some of my sites. In this regard, Google seems to be slow.

 

Let's face it, it is just a long slog getting those links recognised.
