They should be careful. I am sure they don't want to see the "your account has been disabled" by adsense.
Actually google is still the best. And for me, I think google has the most relevant search result, although yes, sometimes the result sucks lol
Why do u need techcrunch to say that - you see the search results and u can make out that some results are just not relevant...
I think that's like saying "TechGeeks says Google search is flawless." It's one author's opinion. I don't see TechCrunch's post with any authority. I could argue that if they don't like what Google is they should go make their own search. There's no reason to say the top search engine sucks if you don't have anything better. Google has very smart people working on search quality and I have no complaints with their search results. When I want information on something I always find it with Google and I'm satisfied with that.
It is kind of interesting to see Matt Cutt's responding and commenting in that article. Some of the comments make some good points about google.
If it is true then when the only competitor to Google is copying their search results, it's a pretty bad situation for everyone.
Well, usually things that Techcrunch talk about - the web goes nuts, and people usually comment and let them know what they think. After all, it is a blog.
Like this insightful story share about google search. i also note some bad points related to google search result.
I'm not saying Google is perfect... but it seems to me that an article like this is created just to start some "buzz". When you say something controversial, people pay attention. It's just like an extremist saying "Obama is the devil". It get's people stirred up... For now, Google provides the best results period. Bing is close behind, but saying Google "sucks" is far from accurate. If Google sucked, it wouldn't recieve 80%+ of internet searches...
Thanks for sharing that. The Vanessa Fox article about JC Penny getting busted for buying links was even better! : http://searchengineland.com/new-yor...at-causes-plummeting-rankings-in-google-64529
in my opinion google plays a role of dictator. Has algorithms that demand day to day hard work.... Everything that ranks you on prestigious position has to do with backlinks that at the end are not organic (mostly). Its probably the most used search engine all round, but is it really efficient as claimed?
